I was rushing around to get all my things packed, I was finally going to Hogwarts! Mum and Dad has told me so much about it. Now I'm finally going! Mum called from the stairs, "James? Are done?" I shouted back, "Almost!" She chuckled, "Well hurry, we have to get there soon. The train leaves exactly at eleven!" I'm very excited! Hogwarts is... is... just... Brilliant!
"Okay mum! Give me a minute!" My hair is so untameable. Now matter how much I brush it, its never cooperative. I finally got to untangle some and I rushed down stairs. Mum and Dad are apparrating me there, but they are going to apparrate to nine so I can get to go through the barrier. Which is also.. Brilliant!
"Okay. James, all packed? Ready?" I nodded and smiled, "Never been readier." Dad spoke, "Okay, lets go." Apparrating is so fun! But I've never apparated with luggage... We arrived within seconds at Platform nine. Dad pointed to the barrier, "It's right there, best if you get a running head start." Mum looked at me, "Do you want me to help you push?" I nodded, "Yes, if you'd like.."
Mum and I ran through the barrier together. Believe or not I was in Platform nine and three quarters! I hugged Mum and Dad and rushed onto Hogwarts Express. I went in and immediately started looking for interesting looking people. I saw three interesting looking people. "Hey, can I sit here?" I asked rather confident. A boy with curly hair nodded, "More the merrier!"
I smiled and I sat right next to him. "Hi James Potter, nice to meet you!" I held out my hand and he took it rather fast, "Sirius Black, nice to meet you James!" Another boy sitting next Sirius had scars on his face. I wonder why.. He smiled and said, "I'm Remus Lupin." I nodded and so did Siruis. Sirius and I said at the same time, "Well, nice to meet you Remus!"
"Nice to meet you two as well." Finally the one sitting across from them spoke softly, "I'm Peter.. Peter Pettigrew." Remus nodded and shook his hand. I said brightly, "Nice to meet you Peter." Sirius smiled, "Yeah nice to meet you!" Peter said shyly back, "Yeah you guys too." After a moment or two James asked them,"What's your guy's personal problems?"
Sirius shrugged, "Family. My family disowns me." Peter shrugged, "I'm really shy, awkward, quiet, and self-conscious.." That's easy to tell. We all looked at Remus. He shrugged, "Broken I guess. If you guys are my friends later on, i'd tell you.. But not now." We didn't push him any further. But now I'm wondering what's wrong with him..
They all looked at me. I shrugged, "Not sure I have any... I guess I can be a little stubborn.. Just warning you guys.." They all nodded. I looked out the window and saw Mum and Dad talking to a girl, and a woman. The girl looked about my age, very enthusiastic. Next to her I saw a greasy, black haired boy wearing dark robes... Wonder what's up with him..
Me and the other guys were discussing on what house we'd want to be in. We all said Gryffindor, because why not? Well Peter said why not.. I said that I am very adventurous, and brave. Sirius said the same thing. And well Remus, he said he probably wouldn't fit in any other houses. He said he might go in Hufflepuff, because Hufflepuff is the house that welcomes in kids that don't belong in any. Remus also said he kind of likes adventure.
These guys are weird.. They're my people. I found my group. The red head and the greasy haired boy left my Mum and Dad, well the woman was still talking to them. Then suddenly the two were standing at the compartment door. Wow, she was really pretty.. I quickly jumped up to meet her. I really hope my face isn't red, now that'll be embarrassing!
She said to me smiling, "Hi, I'm Lily Evans!" I said back, "Hi, James Potter! It's nice to meet you Lily!" Then Sirius spoke, "Sirius Black." She said brightly again, "Nice to meet you Sirius!" Siris said happily back, "You too." Then the others I think said hello and stuff.. I was too busy looking at Lily. What? She seems really nice, and pretty.
She asked us what blood we were, the greasy haired kid snapped at her, bit I quickly went to her defense. I think that won me some points. I smiled, "You can sit with us if you'd like. Plenty of room." She looked back at her friend. He said,"Lily let's go. Get away from him. He might have what muggles call it head lice. He doesn't even know how to brush his hair."
Now he gets it. Lily glared at him, like the look a mom gives you when you insult someone, "Sev, that was rude! Don't say that!" I snapped at him, and well Sirius, "Says the one who doesn't even know how to take a shower!" Sirius and I are gonna get along well! He pulled out his wand, and I pulled out mine. Sirius was right behind me."Expelliarmus! Don't do that!"
Both of our wands went flying into her hand. Now Lily's nice, pretty, and smart! Lily asked him to apologize. He didn't. Then she told me to. I did. "Sorry Snivilious." He told her to leave with him. She looked us, "I kind of want to stay.. If I am welcomed." "Lily you're always going to be welcomed with us."

She smiled at me and asked, "Always Potter?"

I nodded, "Until the very end Evans."
