it was two thirty when athena was standing in a line outside of the venue. she was insanely nervous, the fact that she was meeting her idols in around thirty minutes was insane and she couldn't even imagine it.

athena sent a text to dani about three hours prior, but dani never responded. athena unlocked her phone for the hundredth time and went to her messages app.

"not even read?" a frown approached athena's face.

"athena!"

she turned around to see who had called her name. two brunette girls that she didn't recognize started running up toward her.

"can we take a picture?" one girl said.

athena smiled at the two, "sure!"

after taking the picture, athena finally recognized the two girls from twitter.

"oh, hey! i know y'all! faith and..maeve, right?"

the two girls smiled, "yeah! i cant believe you're finally meeting daniel today, you guys are so cute all over my time line on twitter!" faith said.

"i'm so excited," athena smiled. "who's lanes are y'all in?"

"i'm in jonah's lane and faith is in corbyns lane," maeve said.

"thats dope! you know what, you guys seem really cool so i'm gonna add you guys to my friends and i's group chat on twitter!" athena smiled at the two girls.

maeve's eyes widened, "no way, really?"

"yeah! what are your twitters?"

"lovelymarais and sunsetbesson," faith said.

athena typed on her phone for a few moments, explaining to her friends why she had added the girls.

"done! oh and, i came by myself today so would it be fine if one of you guys recorded daniel and i meeting on my phone for me?"

"yeah, i can do it, id love to!" faith smiled at me.

"thank you so much, oh! where are you guys sitting for the concert?" athena asked the two girls.

"section 102, row b seats 6 and 7. what about you?" faith asked.

"no way, i'm section 102, row b seat 8!" athena laughed.

"wow, i love that for us! we're literally going to have the best time ever!" maeve said.

a few more moments passed, and the line heading into the venue started moving, which meant the doors had opened.

athena felt her palms getting sweaty and she kept wiping them on her pants.

"i'm so scared, wow," athena nervously chuckled, "like, we've been friends for about two months. what if he doesn't like me? what if he thinks my voice is annoying? or my laugh? or what if—"

"girl, he literally loves you! quit rambling, it's almost time!" maeve tried to calm the blonde girl down. athena took some deep breaths and nodded, trying to keep her cool.

next thing she knew, she was walking through the door and was within fifty feet of her idols.

"okay, it's go time, wow. here's my phone," she handed her phone to faith and started to walk in daniel's direction.

she was about to call his name, when another girl stepped in front of her and started talking to him.

athena turned back around and faced maeve and faith. "nope, i cant do it. he's gonna hate me," she started walking in the other direction.

faith and maeve each put a hand on athena's shoulders to keep her from walking away.

"nope, you can't do that. go talk to him, now," faith said, with athena's phone in her other hand still recording.

athena groaned and turned back around and started walking towards daniel again.

"daniel!" athena called while still walking towards him. daniel's head turned at the sound of her voice, and he started running towards her.

"oh my god, athena! it's you!" daniel pulled athena into a big embrace. she held on to him as if her life depended on it.

"i love you so much," athena mumbled against daniel's chest.

"i love you so much more," daniel whispered and rested his chin on her head while he rocked them back and forth.

daniel made eye contact with corbyn who was a few feet away. corbyn, realizing who daniel was hugging, made a kissy face towards him. daniel rolled his eyes and looked away.

daniel pulled away, still leaving his arms wrapped around the blonde girl.

"hi," she laughed. "wow, i genuinely cannot believe you're real, like wow." daniel laughed.

"you guys are so cute," maeve gushed and started fake tearing up.

daniel smiled at the blonde girl he was still holding, "but she's cuter."

daniel leaned down and whispered into athena's ear, "when they say limelight is over, come find jack or me and we'll lead you back to the room with us. security already knows about it."

athena nodded and smiled. "well, i wanna go meet the other guys too, so i'll leave you alone with maeve and faith for now, see you later daniel," athena smiled at him one last time before running into corbyn.

literally, running into him.

"oh, sorry, corbyn! oh my gosh, i love you so much," athena gave him a hug.

"thena! how are you?" corbyn asked the girl. i'm good, i'm good! let's take a picture." she pulled out her phone and got a selfie with corbyn and hugged him one more time.

"it's so good to see you! i just saw you and daniel," he laughed, "you didn't hear this from me, but he really likes you. like, he really likes you."

athena laughed, "okay, corbyn. whatever you say."
