   "Who are you?"
"Do you even know who you are this time? Because I can inform you that most things that come to me don't, they are shells of what I've created, what they were," They said curiously. The being in front of me was nothing, but They were all? They were all, and I was barely able to string together a thought. I call them They as I can't remember what They was, maybe male or maybe female. Human? I don't think so, but They spoke to me gently, They seemed to be content that I could remember my name. Riley Alistair. I would say it sounded weird to the tongue but I didn't have one, I seemed to just be.
"Have I died? Is this why I'm here?"
" ... Stop asking questions you know the answers to, it's not fun that way," They said seeming to be tired. " ... I'm gonna send you back now. Don't worry we'll have this conversation all over again when you reach that fateful day, but I don't mind. Maybe this time you'll be able to talk to the girl with the orange."
"Wait! You know about her?" I didn't want to leave without understanding what They meant, but I was already back to square one.

The streets were as crowded as ever, hopefully she wouldn't be too agitated if I had been late. It was raining lightly and thankfully there was no wind to ruin the nice atmosphere of the fog filled city. These days were my favourite. I jogged trying not to miss the next train.

"Is he finally going to talk to her?"

I turned my head expecting a recognizable face, but no such luck.

Walking onto the train I noticed a girl. It's not like I had never seen a girl before, but this woman was different to me. She sat calmly listening to music with large blue headphones. I wondered why she was here? She was sleepily peeling an orange into a long spiral. She seemed friendly enough, I stood up wobbling from the moving of the train. As I stabilized myself with the flow of the train there was a large BOOM!

"Do you know who you are this time?"
"Huh... what do you mean?" Remembering was the worst part of coming back here. "I don't want to go back."
"One of these lives you'll make it to her, that is what is meant to be." They seemed annoyed at my insistence to be freed from this, time loop?
"I will go with you this time to that fog filled city that you love so much, this time I will help you." Back to square one.

The streets were as crowded as ever, They was next to me and this time I could remember who They was.
"Stop calling me They, you've been calling me that for many years and it's gotten to be a tiresome name."
"Years?" Maybe I didn't remember everything about, "what should I call you then?"
"No names needed follow me, I'll bring you to her."

We walked for what felt like hours, but nothing moved. The bustling of everything was at a stand still, it was alien, the stillness. Even the rain had stopped. It felt as though it was the silence before the storm.

"I'll unfreeze everything."
"Why now?"
"Because she's here, she's about to come out the door."

On cue she frantically runs out, "well do you plan on just standing there?"

"Ah... no," I say as I ran after her. "Hey, what happens if I actually get to her?... Hey, wait where - " distracted by the sudden disappearance of They I accidently bump into her.

"Sorry, I was just... um... you see - "
"I'm not gonna kill you, don't worry," she looked at me confused now. "... Have I seen you before?"
"No."
"Huh, well I'm Kahel."

"I guess 151,811,475 tries isn't the worst."
