Chapter 1

Tara pov

Right Mrs. Murrah is just talking about algebra and haonestly I don't get anything at all but I don't want to ask her anything at all. 10 more minutes until it is time to leave for home and I was watching the clock until I sensed a very strong blood scent approaching even though I'm a vampire and there are 15 people in this class who are human, the scent I was smelling was even stronger and coming nearer and nearer to the front door. The classroom door opens to reveal a boy with dirty blonde hair and he is cute but actually not my type but really I don't really know what kind of boys are my type so I just rate them up in my mind.

"Class, this is Curt Jones and he is new and he would join us this semester" Mrs. Murrah says chantly. Ugh another new person this year and now it's going to be even harder this time to hide my secret because most of them are too nosy and I'd have to get rid of them if they ever find out my secret so I should probably keep my distance with the newbie because if no holds me back I think that he is gonna be dead in a minute. "Goodmorning" the newbie said looking at everyone but when he met my face he smirked. Listen to the newbie he's already making mistakes in his grammar saying goodmorning even though it's practically 1:4 pm. "Ok curt please take a seat at the back. He nodded to the teacher and started heading towards the empty seat next to me even thought there were a lot of empty seats behind me he just had to sit down where I  could smell his delicious blood and already taste it in my mouth but I'll have to control myself and act normal. "Hi, I'm Curt" he says turning his chair to face me. "I know Mrs. Murrah already said it" I said lastly before turning my head back to the direction of the board and trying to focus but no the newbie just had to talk again. "So what's your name ?" He asks staring at me, "why do you want to know ?" I ask ignoring his question still trying to focus on the blackboard but the newbie wouldn't shut up so I chose to not pay attention to the board but act like I am so I wouldn't go to detention today. "Like that" He answers again, "Ok then my name is Tara if you insist" I answer hoping he would shut but I guess those type of wishes don't come true he talked again isn't that a deja vu. "Nice" he answers simply and and I nod my head in return and then the bell rings and we all leave the classroom.

I headed to my locker and took out my back and putted in my books in my locker, when I had finighed packing it in my bag I started heading towards my car, when the newbie shouted my name but I chose that I'd act like I didn't hear him and maybe he leave me alone but I guess I thought wrong again. "Hey Tara" he says finally on my side even though I didn't want him to. "hey" I answer forcing a smile unto my lips so he wouldn't see the disappointment on my face. "So I was wondering if I could get your number ?" he asks looking down to his feet obviously shy. "Uh okay" I say before writing my number on a card and handing it to him. "Thanks" he said before I stopped infront of my car which is a grey chevrolet and hopping into it. The newbie stood there shocked at my car but I don't blame him most of the other guys in my classes were too. Ignoring his staring at my car I putted the key in the ignition and drove off out of the parking lot and onto the road and headed my way home.
