Into the Elders' Realms

Rea's POV// Daylight

Light. Sun.

Right, sunlight

The sunlight glided through Rea's terra-cotta windowsill and shined brightly on her face. Her tanned skin was gold with shine and her freckles seemed like tiny gems sprinkled over her cheeks.

She gave a big yawn, then stretched herself by extending her arms as far as it went. But she was only Light Twelve, and her finger tips could barely touch the ceiling.

She flopped her back right onto the bed as she stared at the ceiling. It was Daylight and she was just beginning to get up.

So much for trying to be like Austen.

Austen was her friend who was older than her by one light, so Light Thirteen. He was probably the definition of perfect, in every way possible. He was intelligent and had attractive facial features with no damned freckles like her; he also was athletic and could fly better than most Light Fifteens. And obviously, woke up at Dawn everyday.

Since they were best friends since she was Light Two, her parents compared her to him a lot, and she was the less talented one.

Anyways, she rolled her body out of the bed as she reached for her mask on top of the stool. The mask was made of bronze like every Kingdom Generation kid had, and had a speckle of emerald on the part of the forehead, instead of the Gem of Light like the First Generation had. Anyways if put she this on, that would mean she would begin her day and her repetition of Life.

She adjusted the mask so it could fit perfectly on her face and opened the closet. She grabbed a red cape with golden outlines on the bottom part then took off her brown cape she replaced it with her choice of today. Her messy, short, and carefree white hair was then effortlessly pulled into a very small and low ponytail, still leaving a bit of small side bangs to be on top of the mask.

She then put short trousers on and sat on her stool.

She yawned again as she stared at the floor with clearly no idea what was going to happen today.
