*Tap* *Tap* *Tap* *Tap* A tapping rhythm in a quiet classroom, during dinner, alone in bed, or anywhere for that matter. A finger tap complimented now by the clicking of a pen, the clicking of controller buttons, and a reflective tapping of the foot. Together the vibrations of these simple tools form a rhythm to what could next be a masterpiece.

Any musician can tell you how they pick up sounds different, and Kelly Galindo, Bassist of one of the more talented up and coming rock bands in the L.A. County, Yesterday's Donuts, is certainly one who's lived, breathed, and bled music since as far as that long mane of his was once a short moss of hair that sat idly on a small head that absorbed the sounds of Metallica blasting from his Father's stereo.

"That's gotta be like my earliest music memories, just hearing the harmonizing of the guitars", says Kelly as he reflects on what his mind can remember in Metallica being played in his head for the first time. There are countless artists and bands that have influenced Gallindo, but the vibrations of Metallica being first in his memory set up the base of his influence in music, to now being the bass in the vibrations of Yesterday's Donuts.

Metallica's bassist Cliff Burton in their first three records is a huge piece in the music world that Kelly looks to as a perfect mirror to shred the bass to. "The dude was a genius, he was like Jimi Hendrix to bass", explains Kelly when talking about his influence in his music making. Together it all blended into Kelly's creativity in unique musical sounds such as the tapping of the foot, the repetition of words overheard, or anything for that matter that is then transferred over to the strings.

"I just hear something in my brain maybe somebody says something and then I start repeating that over and over almost like a loop and i make a rhythm out of it, it can be anything; just literally anything", responds Galindo when asked about any fidgeting habits that transcended into a knack for music making.

The ancestors of rock are going out as most old head's yesterday's music. However the trend is nearing a rise again, and Yesterday's Donuts is present to lead the sounds back to high glory, with Kelly Galindo specifically producing the base of the gathered vibrations from the shredding of the bass in his fingertips.
