Back in 2008, Dean and Jo got married. A year later, in "Abandon all Hope" (s5 ep10), Sam and Ellen were badly injured, and stayed behind to kill the hellhounds (replacing Jo in the actual scene) Both Sam and Ellen died. Since then Jo and Dean have been keeping up the hunting business. In 2010, Jo and Dean had their first child, Samantha Winchester. Ten years went by, and then Ellen Winchester was born.
So this is sort of an AU, keep in mind everything that has happened in the series has happened, I've just switched up some deaths and swapped some characters out, sorry ;)
also I started writing this in 2014 so none of the later seasons are really being considered here
