*I'm just going to say right now that until 2020 is over/almost over, I will not be publishing the official first chapter since it's insensitive to make satire about something while it's still going on. So to compensate, have the actual preface written as if Cangrejo I - 2020 was already published (and to some extent, if CringeFest 2019 was finished):
Y'ALL KNOW HOW 2020 WAS, SO PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR DARK HUMOUR. LITERALLY ALL CRINGEFEST BOOKS HAVE HAD SATIRE ABOUT SOMETHING CONTROVERSIAL THAT HAPPENED WITHIN THEIR RESPECTIVE YEAR. BREAKING THE CHAIN OF DARK HUMOUR WOULD ONLY MAKE CRINGEFEST 2020 BLAND COMPARED TO THE OTHER TWO, BECAUSE THE ONLY CRACK POPULATING THE BOOK WOULD BE:
- 2020 memes not related to WWIII, Australian Bushfires, Taal Eruption, Coronavirus, All the protests and riots, Trump, etc. (which is not much)
- "fuck you Cangrejo" or any other house-related crack
- Anime/Jojo references
But despite more dark jokes being present here, I won't cross the line about:
- George Floyd, or any other incident involving people killed by police brutality (but there may still be jokes about police brutality in general)
- Bolsonaro
- Trump's sex trafficking/rape allegations (because we're family friendly here)
- Deaths related to Covid-19 (But quarantine and social distancing jokes are still present, if not everywhere)
Besides, doesn't sports with social distancing seem fun to you? It is, right?
Serious stuff aside...
We didn't have a real SportsFest 2020 because of covid-19 so nobody can accuse me of disrespecting their privacy
also i decided it would be a good idea to have a prologue now
