Chapter 1: Loveless Days

"It's time!" shouted my mother from downstairs.

"Coming mum!" I replied

It was the first day of 9th grade and I was going insane on what I was going to wear, even though people will not notice my outfit. I opened my closet and there it was... the navy blue skirt and my beige shirt. Then I looked down and looked for my navy blue shoes with white stripes.

"Are you coming down? Your dad is waiting" Mum said from the kitchen.

I put my shoes on as quickly as I could and went running down the stairs brushing my dirty blonde hair while running, when I got down I turned right and opened the door, my mum was there with a Nutella sandwich and a juice.

"Just take it and eat it in the car and go to school"

I took my sandwich and my orange juice and went outside; the windows around the door are illuminating the principal corridor, the light is so strong that it's hurting my eye. I opened the door and saw the bright light got stronger into my eyes. I was looking at the landscape; the sky was a very pretty light blue and all the clouds looked like cotton balls, I was admiring the whole landscape until....

"Hurry up or you will be late for school, don't get to distracted" Dad yelled from the car, he seemed pretty furious after pushing the claxon with such a force.

I opened the door and jumped in, I scream at my dad to make him stop the car. I jumped out and opened the principal door.

"What happened now?" my dad asked

"I forgot my bag inside... just give me 5 minutes" I replied

We finally arrived to Lincoln High School, my dad kissed me in the forehead and said goodbye. I got out of the car and opened the back door to take my light blue PINK bag. All my friends were at the entrance; Savannah is the cute girl in our group and we call her Savy cause it sounds nice, Megan is the most intelligent, Caroline is the "gothic" one in the group, and I know she is lovely, Chloe is the party girl, she always goes out on weekends, Lidia the quiet one, Diana the unknown inside school but everyone who's not in our school knows her, Andrea she is the prettiest of all the group, Christiana is very shy and nobody in school knows her, but we know her, and that is all that matters, and obviously my best friend Alice. Alice has been my best friend since I had memory, we are always together, her sister is really nice, her name is Sheyla, and she always goes out with us. Alice is very aggressive in a way, but sometimes very funny.

I got to the entrance and they all went running towards me, vacations were over and we haven't seen each other, except for Alice. We were very happy, we walked in but then our smiles disappeared, there was the big problem.

"Get out of my way bitch, you don't belong here" Brittany said talking straight to me, the most popular and also the most beautiful but first of all, the MOST annoying in the whole school, but there are this rumours that she is a slut, which I think is true.

"Look who's talking, you don't belong here, there is a strip club round the corner, go there were you belong" Alice said with her straight face, her red hair was all over her shoulders, so when we started walking she whipped her hair to the side were Brittany and her group is and we followed Alice inside.

The first 6 classes ended and lunch started, my group and I went to the cafeteria, we were all in line, we grabbed our trays and unfortunately in the menu there was meat pie. Caroline turned to me, her brown hair covered half of her face and her green eyes looked straight to me.

"This day is soo awful, first I get pushed by the popular boys who don't even know who I am here and then the meat pie, seriously?" She said it in a very quiet voice so that the lady at the front of us doesn't hear us.

We started walking outside were we normally eat....

"Caroline, one question, but don't be mad at me, ok? Do you think Brittany is pretty? Just asking", I was really nervous for what she was going to say, until...

"What the fuck?? You are SO stupid!!"

My face was totally blushing, I couldn't believe it. My food in my tray was in Brittany's Forever 21 new crop sweater and I am still standing in front of her, my face is burning red and she is looking at me straight in the eye with one eye brow raised waiting for a response from me but I am totally frozen, Caroline tried to help me but nobody notices her. All the guys that are outside are looking at me, they don't even know who I am....

"I-I-I'm sorry" I replied, almost without air.

"You bet you're sorry, or you will see the bad side of me" she whipped her hair and turned away and started walking with two of the girls of her group, one of them is Lucia Gardener, and the other one is Kiara Wilson...

Caroline looked at me and her eyes started to sparkle, "who doesn't know that side?"

"What did you say?"

Oh, hell no, that bitch again?? Really?? I grabbed Caroline's hand and went towards the table were my friends are, their eyes were literally about to pop out of their face, everyone was looking at us, it felt so weird. The bench was right beside the balcony end, Alice standed up and gave me a big hug.

"Are you alright?? Because it doesn't look like it" Alice looked at me with her puppy face. "If I see that stupid slut I will slap her really hard, I swear"

"Hahahaha, thanks but... I am..."

"Embarrassed, yeah, I know, I would have been like you, you are so brave" Alice cut my phrase me before I could end.

I finally got home; I walked through the principal corridor which leads up to the stairs, my house is so big that my whole prom could fit in, but I don't socialize much..... I grabbed my bag and took my homework out, Miss. Morrison, my maths teacher, send us an 8 page long homework, then I had to do Mr. Rodrick's 2000 word essay for history talking about WW1, which is for next week.

For all the guys in school, but mostly the popular guys, say that I am a nerd, and they make fun of me because of it and I really don't like it. Smart girls are not nerds, it's the truth, you can be a popular guy or girl and be very smart but not a nerd.

Suddenly I hear a small ring, it's my phone. I got a message from... It's an unknown number...

I just wanted to tell you something that I've been wanting to tell u since we were on 6th grade. I just wanted to say that you are the most beautiful girl in the whole school, and even though you are shy and almost nobody knows you, I really think you are very kind and beautiful in the inside and out...

OMG did Tony just send me this message? Tony Monarch is the most popular boy in the school, I've been crushing on him since we were on 6th grade, and I've been waiting too loooong for him to notice me. I was blushing, my face was burning hot and a huge smile formed in my face from ear to ear until I read the P.S.

P.S: Sorry about the interruption, it was a dare.

Dare? ...DARE! Well, ok, I knew this would never happen but who cares? Well, I do, but ugh, by tomorrow morning everything will be alright.
