Chapter 1: The birth of Lio Rush (1/1)

In 2008 Beijing Olympics Lionel langerman got injured before he was about to run his final race on the last day of the competition, but Lionel did not get stressed at all caused it was the last day and he had already won 4 gold medal and 2 silver medal so that race did not matter to him but the fans wanted him to run his final race.

Commentators:"Announcement!!! Ladies and gentlemen there has been a major report that just hit our ears coming from the locker room that says our 100m world record holder and six times gold medalist champion Lionel langerman will no longer be part of the final race because of the injury he got while he was training, we are truly sorry you won't get to see the world champion running but we are  hoping he will get well as soon as possible."

(After the announcement the spectators were shocked that they won't be able to witness this young legend run, some were saying he was faking it, some were wishing him good luck but in all that the competition ended in a massive way and people were excited to witness all the mouth watering moments of the competition. Now back in South Africa... Lio talking to Josh his best friend and teammate in their local training ground packing their stuff and getting ready to head home...)

Lionel:"what a competition it was, Don't you think buddy"?

Josh:(all smiles too) "yeah it was. I almost beat you in the second race of the competition though, remember that game"?
Lionel:(nods his head back and forth then laughs) "that's why they call me Lio the Scarlett speedster am the fastest man alive buddy, but Don't worry buddy you will get me next".
Josh:(nods and smiles) "yeah I will bro watch and learn... hey did you do your research project about this immortal guy called King Lazarus"?
Lionel:"no! What about him? I didn't even get that kind of project, maybe I'll get it next week before the colleges closes besides it's our final year this year bro."
Josh:"dude! You are missing out let me give you some info on this cause it's a pretty good story..."
Lionel:(unwillingly to listen)"ok".
Josh:(excited...)"ok... So this guy is an immortal from many,many centuries ago he feeds on souls in order to survive, can you believe that? If he does not get a soul for more than three hours his immortality turns into mortality. I don't know much for now but that's the best thing about him that I know so far. It's like he kills for a living that's cool ain't it bro"?
Lionel:(not amazed as Josh)"yeah bro but I don't believe in anything on these history books bro some are real some are not so, yeah don't believe everything your mind is gonna be messed up buddy".
Josh:(unwilling to reply)"you boring dude I'll always believe in these things no matter what, otherwise are you going to M.H.R Labs (META-HUMAN RESEARCH LABORATORIES) tonight I heard Dr.James will be revealing an alien species that he got two months ago and he has been experimenting on them trying to see what they are capable of and I heard they have super powers bro please come with me, Please bro.
Lionel:(sadly answering Josh)
"Sorry dude I can't, I promised my mother I'll come home early today am sorry. Besides there are no aliens in the universe dude Get that into your mind bro. shit!!!"
Josh:"Chelsea blakemore will be there".
Lionel:(stopped for a while and then smiles)" am still not coming bro"

(Lio hits the road and went home and Josh went home too. Now Lio on the dinner table with his family CINDY LANGERMAN HIS MOTHER AND JOSEF LANGERMAN HIS FATHER).

Cindy:( happy) hey Lio you almost missed supper, how was training today?
Lio: it was cool and tiring though.
Cindy: okay, me and your father are so proud of you what an achievement you had in those Olympics.
Joe:(Smiling) "yes! Slugger me and your mother are super proud of you son, keep on doing great things and god will bless you with more power to be able to get back up whenever you are knocked down and I promise you this with that great power comes great responsibility and the world will be looking at you as their Knight in shining armor.
Lio:(with tears in his eyes and big smile on his face)" thanks dad that's too much and I appreciate it, I love you both.
Cindy and joe:(with joy in their eyes looking at Lio and smiling)" we love you too son".
