"Have you heard? There's a new student." Soyoung, Hyun's bestfriend, asked. "No." Hyun answered, obviously restless. Her eyes were heavy, barely open.
"Why would they be transferring? The school year is almost ending." She said, rolling her eyes. "Shouldn't you be worrying about the finals?"
"Finals? Hun, That's next month. Is that why you look so restless?" The girl nodded as she buried her face in her rather small hands.
"Where were you last night? I called you a couple times." Soyoung asked lowering her voice, making sure no one heard. "I was busy." The curious girl nodded, knowing very well what Hyun means by 'busy'.
"You okay? No injuries?" Curiosity turned into worry. Her bestfriend is a part of a mafia, she can't help but worry.
"Just a few scratches, that's all. I'm the ace after all." The restless girl joked, earning a light punch from Soyoung.
"Ever thought of leaving?" The smaller girl asked. A light chuckle escaped Hyun's lips as she looked straight into her friend's eyes.
"Do you think my dad would let me leave? He's the leader, remember?"
Eversince Hyun was little, she was trained by her father to defend herself. As she grew older, she bacame more skilled. Her skills are somewhat better than most of the members, a fast learner.
The bell rang, making both the girls stand up. Making their way to thier respective classes, Hyun's phone recieved a message.
"I don't think we can hang out later." Hyun said, looking at the phone in her hands. "Why?" Soyoung whinned, clinging onto Hyun's arms.
"My dad asked me to take care of something, someone. Sorry." She lightly squeezed the smaller girl's hand as she smiled apologetically. "I'll text you though."
She loosened her grip on Soyoung as she waved at her, both going their own way.
Hyun, being the clumsy girl she is, accidentally bumps into a person while walking backwards, making the boy stumble backwards. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" The taller boy stood up, completely ignoring her outstretched hand. He smirked, "Aren't you a little too nice for a girl in a gang?"
The boy walked away, leaving the girl stunned, speechless.
