So this book will be wrote though the preseptive of a male. If you are female, please just change some of the pronouns. This story will also include my choses for the story. (Ex. Choosing to help Natsuki rather than Yuri). With all of that out-of-the-way, let's begin! (Also Maniacal_Jane15 this is where I have been! =) )(Y/N)'s POV
I close the door to my gate. I have always been a person that tries to be punctional. Even if it ment leaving my friend behind. I quickly glance up and down my road to see if my neighbor was walking to school. Luckily for me, she wasn't. I picked up my backpack from the grass and started to walk to school.
If my neighbor didn't show up, and knowing her she probably wouldn't, I would make it to class with about 5 minutes to spare. I started to walk down the road. It was a nice day outside. The cherry tree bulbs were blooming, birds were singing, and (O N D A Y S L I K E T H E S E K I D S L I K E Y O U S H O U L D B E B U R N I N G I N H E L L! XD sorry had to do it.) the sun was shining brightly. I took a deep breath of the nice cold wind. I could already tell that this was going to be a good day.
"HHHHHEEEEEYYYYYY!! WAIT FOR ME!!"
I instantly tensed up and look behind me. I see an annoying pink-headed girl waving her arms around while she runs down the road, totally oblivious of any attention she may be attracting. Her school uniform skirt fluttering from the wind. Her unbuttoned jacket and messier than usual hair suggests to me that she just woke up. That girl is my friend and neighbor, Sayori. She is the type of friend I could never see myself making, but somehow we are. We have been friends since we were both little.
I glance back and forth at her and the path in front of me. If I were to run now, she wouldn't be able to catch up. I let out a sigh and stay in place allowing her to catch up. That put a sour mood over me. Don't get me wrong, she is an amazing friend, but I would have rather enjoyed walking to school by myself. We used to walk to and fro school together a lot, but now she over sleeps and she is apart of a club. Both of those ment that it was very rare for us to walk to and fro school anymore. Eventually she catches up to me.
"Haahhh... Haaahhh..."
She pants heavily trying to catch her breath.
"Haahh... I over slept again, but this time I was able to catch up to you (Y/N)!"
"Sayori, you only caught up to me because I decided to stop and wait for you." I correct her while I continue walking down the street.
"Eeeeehhhhhh, you sound like you were thinking about ignoring me! That's mean, (Y/N)!" She says grumpilly while walking beside me. I sigh and glance over at her with a 'I have my reasons' face.
"Why were you thinking of ignoring me? It is very mean and rude! You should be more like me! Positive!"
"Think about it this way Sayori, I don't want people to see you making a fool out of yourself and then walk over to me. That would give people the impression that we are a couple." I say while putting my arm out to prevent Sayori from walking onto the road. Yes, she is 17 years old but she acts like a 6-year-old sometimes. Better safe than sorry. Especially with that car coming that is possibly speeding.
"(Y/N), did you hear me? Hello? Earth to (Y/N), I repeat, Earth to (Y/N)!"
"Hm? What were you saying, Sayori?"
"I said, but you did wait for me after all." She stops and picks up a bright pink Tsubaki from beside the sidewalk. "I guess you don't have it in you to be mean after all." I give her a look and playfully punch her, earning a giggle out of her.
"Whatever you say, Sayori. Whatever you say." We continue to walk towards our school. The streets started to become more crowded with students like me and Sayori. I feel a light tap on my shoulder. I turn to look for who tapped me. Sayori instantly snatches her hand back knowing she got my attention.
"Yes, Sayori?" We stopped walking while we chatted.
"Well, (Y/N), I was wondering if you have chosen a club yet..." She started to play with her hair. A bad habit. She would play with her hair no matter what is in her hands. Once, she got a piece of gum stuck in her hair. It took us a hour to get it out.
"Club? I thought I told you that I wasn't joining a club this year. I also haven't been looking." I state while pulling my phone out to check the time. 7:55 A.M. I silently pray that this conversation doesn't last that long.
"Eh! That isn't true!! you told me that you were going to attempt this year! You promised me!" She cried. Sadly all of this commotion is causing attention to us.
"Did I..?" I probably did when she went into one of her lectures. Sayori is a great friend and all, but it is that she worries about me and my emotions just a tad bit too much.
"Uh-huh! Remember! It was, um, last Wednesday if I am not mistaken! I said that I was worried about you not learning any skills nor socializing before college!" I started to think because of her words. Yes, I am not a very social guy, but I have my reasons! They are anime and manga. When it comes to skills, she is completely right. I don't have many skills. I snap out of my thoughts and look at Sayori.
"Look, I am not joi-"
"You may be happy now, but i don't wanna die thinking that you are a NEET!" She says while crossing her arms. I sigh and give in.
"Fine Sayori. I will look at some clubs, but no promise!"
