It had been a month since the war ended between two kingdoms, Edelena and Cremore. All the credits of Edelena's victory were given to the knight named Alvar who came from a poor background but at the age of 13, he proved the king by defeating an ogre. One month later, another quest has been given by his majesty. A quest that would change his life forever. Sadly, after a year without returning. News was spread that he was defeated. Even Alvar could not defeat it. When the king heard the news, he was devastated but then had an idea. That's where the king made an announcement. "My people of Edelena! It is a tragic that our knight, Alvar, was defeated! But there is still hope! Whoever slays the golden dragon shall be rewarded! Anything you desire!" This gave all the kingdom of Edelena's attention, especially to princess Amora.
Amora knew it was her chance to prove her father that she can't stay as a princess forever. Although, she is not allowed to go outside the palace but she was smart enough to sneak out. At night, when the king was asleep. She snuck in to the king's collection of swords room. Each swords represented king's story in battle. She chose the first sword. Sword of Hope. It was no ordinary sword, for the king it was the most precious sword of all. She stared at the sword, remembering a story that her father once told. It made her think for a minute about the choice she's making. What would her father think about her? Is she choosing the right path? She quickly sheathed her father's sword, "I need to prove to him that I'm brave." she mumbled as she left the room. This is the start of her journey.
A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER
Walking through the forest while carrying a lantern, it was cold and quiet. She continued walking and searching for the gold dragon's territory. Even though it may take more days to actually find its territory, she's not giving up but little did she know, she stumbles on a path of gold and quickly knew right away where it was leading. Following the path, she sees a tower covered in vines. She was indeed scared but told herself, "Why should I fear when courage took me this far?" Suddenly, a loud roar was heard. There came the golden dragon landing in front of Amora. She quickly unsheathed the sword, and dodged the golden dragon's fire. The fight wasn't easy, but she was brave. She quickly climbed on the tower with vines, jumped on the dragon back and ran towards the neck as she yelled,
"I, Amora, have no fear! For I have courage!"
The sword glowed up as she defeated the golden dragon. After defeating it, she heard a male's voice. She searched for the voice and to her surprise, it was from the tower. She started climbing the tower by using the vines. As she reached the window, she saw Alvar. He has been the prisoner of the golden dragon. She even made a joke, "I guess you're called, the knight in distress?" She giggled while Alvar gave her a smile. After a couple of days, they returned to the kingdom safely. Although, the king was not quite happy about her actions and Amora wasn't surprised what was going to happen but what she did not expect were her father's words.
"What you desire truly was made. A desire to prove that a princess is braver than what she thinks."
Amora smiled at her father and gave him an embraced. Months passed by, Alvar and Amora got married. Not a happily ever after, but a new beginning of her adventure.
