Spring came early this year as the birds start chirping and flowers slowly blooming. It was another beautiful day at the forest.
There sat a young maiden under the tree with her nose in a book until she heard a female voice calling out her name. She quickly stood up and closed her book because she knew who it was. A brunette wearing a yellow dress while holding a basket of flowers approached the young maiden.
"Analiese, father asked us to go horse riding with him right now." said the brunette as she glance at the book, "The Damsel in Distress?" she asked. Analiese held the book tightly to her chest. The brunette began to worry at the sight of her sister's action, "Come on Analiese! I know you're scared to try new things but have courage! and I'm there for you." she tried assuring her yet her sister didn't reply. They both left to return to their small house nearby the river.
When the sisters arrived at their destination, they saw both their horses were all prepared except for the father's horse. They approached to their horses while their father was fixing the saddle. Analiese stroked gently on the horse's mane while her sister prepares their father's horse.
It was peaceful until they heard a voice yelling for help. They saw a man being chased by an unknown people . The family knew what they needed to do but Analiese was scared. She thought for a minute. Could this really be her chance to stop staying in fear?
"Father what do we do?!" the sister asked as she was panicking, "I'll save him! Watch over your sist-" the father was cut off when Analiese chased after the man with her horse. The sister and the father were both staying still and shocked by her actions.
The man was still yelling for help until he saw her catching up to him. When she caught up, she grabbed his arms as he mount on her horse. They both managed to lose them as they kept going without knowing where they are heading. He sighed in relief as he dismount her horse.
"You looked really scared when you tried to save me huh?" asked the man with a following chuckle. She dismount her horse while holding the strings of the saddle, "What's there to fear about? Courage took me this far to save you." she replied while stroking her horse's mane. He was struck by her words and couldn't reply back. After a minute of silence, she finally spoke.
"I admit, I was scared what to do before saving you." she said with confidence, "It was scary but I can't stay in fear forever." she replied with a smile. The man smiled back, "My name is Nolan." he introduced himself. She was a bit surprised but still introduced to herself, "Analiese." The father and the sister arrived as they asked Analiese if she was okay. Nolan then explained his story and thanked Analiese again for saving him. They'll part ways but who knows?
Fate might bring them together
