'A new place and a new me! I can't wait to get my stuff unpacked and to start work!' I thought to myself with a smile as I looked at the boxes scattered all around. I then realized how much work was ahead of me, and groaned.

"Maybe I should explore the new area first! There is bound to be some things I missed on my way here!" I said aloud, trying to convince myself to just leave and not start on the work yet since unpacking is the most tedious task.

I grabbed my coat and wallet and walked out after that, locking my door as I left as well, then returned the keys to my coat pocket and started to walk down the street. I eventually came across a whole shopping district and looked around as I walked. There were clothing stores, antique shops, and more abstract looking stores. I came across a café soon enough and read the sign.

"Kitten's Café? Is it like a cat café or something?" I mumbled to myself, opening the door while saying this.

As I looked in, I saw that the café was small, quaint, and homely. The café gave off a vibe of life, it was a sight for sore eyes, for eyes of people who haven't seen home in awhile. It was comforting. I walked in and went to the cash register to order, but first I looked at the menu to see the options of which I could chose from. As I did this, someone bumped into me and I flinched away a bit, looking over at them and they looked at me.

"Oh, sorry! Didn't mean to bump into you there!" This person was cheery and bubbly, loud and talkative, adorning lilac hair and hazel eyes.

"It's fine, don't worry about it." I said with a smile and a wave of my hand, ushering this person to continue what they were doing.

"If you're looking for something to order, I'd recommend the iced coffee, they brew them with love or something and it just always tastes so amazing." They said with a smile at me and I nodded.

"I'm going to probably order (f/d) (favorite drink)." I said, walking up to the register again as this person just nodded and didn't really leave.

"Nice. Hey, are you new around here? Cause I've never seen you around town before." They said, and I nodded with a smile.

"Yep, just moved here a little bit ago, still gotta unpack though. Instead I decided to go for a walk beforehand." I said, then looked at the woman at the cash register and ordered while the lilac haired person thought of what to say.

"Well, nice to meet you! I'm Keller." Keller said with a smile and I smiled back.

"I'm (Y/N) and it's nice to meet you too!" I said, sticking out my hand for a handshake, and smiling once more when he shook my hand, a little after our hands parted ways.

"Yo Keller! Why'd you walk off so suddenly?" Some guy asked as he came over and wrapped an arm around Keller, he was smiling carelessly just as Keller was.

"I was just introducing myself to this person here, they're new to the area." Keller said with their signature smile, even knowing him only for a couple minutes, Keller has become easy to read.

"Oh hey, the name's Jace! I'm Keller's friend." He said, nodding in acknowledgement towards me, I nodded back.

"(Y/N), and as you can tell I just met Keller. Well, it was nice meeting you both, but unfortunately-" My sentence was interrupted as the woman behind the counter called my name and set my drink down on the counter. "-I have to get going."

"Wait, before you leave..." Keller took out a piece of paper and then wrote some numbers on it and handed it to me, yes they did have a small pencil and piece of paper in their pocket. "Here's my number, just in case you need help navigating the town."

After taking his number and my drink and saying goodbye, I left the café and started to walk back home. I soon got home in the span of half an hour, unlocked my door, and plopped down on the floor with my drink still in my hand. It had a lid on it so I wasn't worried about it spilling that much. I looked at the ceiling with a sigh and sat up, drinking my coffee, and that was when I heard a bang coming from my backyard. I got up, curious as all hell, and walked to the backdoor. I looked out to see nothing, but I wasn't satisfied with that and I opened my back door and took another look around when I heard something and ducked down in the doorway, closing the door slightly.

"We had a deal! I'd give you a person with a viable quirk and you'd forgive me! Please, I can't die like this!" This person's voice was low, but still boomed with disparity.

"And I told you once before that his quirk isn't useful at all. Now, are you going to go out and bring me someone with a better quirk and not give me any attitude like this again? Yes, you are, unless of course you'd prefer... maybe to lose a leg or two. Death is an easy way out, why would I kill you when I could just make your life harder?" The second person's voice was low a bit raspy, but still easily heard from the doorway, I covered my mouth after realizing I was breathing a bit hard.

"Y-Yes sir.. I promise that I won't fail this time." The first person said, then I heard a small chuckle.

"Of course you won't. Success is only amplified by how scared one is of another. Now leave before I change my mind." The second person said curtly, I heard shifting as I presume the first guy gathered his things or collected himself.

"Thank you so much, sir!" I heard from the first guy, then after that I heard the pattern of running go off into the woods right next to my house.

I was breathing a bit hard still due to the bizarre occurrence that had just taken place. I started to slowly close the back door when a foot lodged itself in between the door and its frame. I gasped as I jumped away from the door and scrambled to my feet, looking up at a person who wore a red, horned mask with odd markings on it.

        "I knew someone was listening."
