Red vs The dead.

Chapter 27

It has been a while since I wrote in the journal. Jamie decided to kill himself finally. Mark is upset, he lost his wife, his oldest and just has 3 children left. He is trying to keep it all together. But it has been tough.

Mark and Josh went on a run while I'm taking care of Ember. It is nice not to totally go out. I love just watching Ember sleep. Alex and Beckett were starting to build the restroom/ shower place since we got that part going. It is going nice, I feel good.

One night I put Ember to bed when Alex came in. He looks pale, he was nervous for sure. I just wasn't sure what's the matter. I ask him if he was bitten and he said no. He gave me a quick kiss and started to unbutton my shirt.

"No, what's your problem?" I asked. He didn't answer he just sat down.

I bent down and held his hand. We were only sixteen and fifteen and for him to act that nervous, it must be that serious. I started talking to him about Ember and the community I want them to grow up in. He smiles during that time.

"I know it is crazy, but I was thinking if you wanted to, I was wondering if you-" He said.

"RED!" Gwen shouted.

We grab our guns and ran outside there was a military truck there, well until they crash into one of the trees. I told everyone to be ready. Then boom a bunch of zombies came piling out. They had major weapons that we could use, so we kill them and grab their stuff and they had some rations and water with them. Also, now we have two new vehicles we can use.

After that Alex pulled me in and hug me, so I finally ask him, but the shock I got is when he got down on one knee, got out a ring and ask me to marry me. Of course, I said yes.

I know today is April fools day, but I was going to pretend this is where the book ends instead, but that is cruel.... Alright but I am serious... 3 more chapters left......
