Chapter 5
It's been a week since that day. Brittany talked to Todd, and now they're together. I was walking through the crowded halls when I saw Logan making his way towards me. This is a first, ever since that day he hadn't talked to me, and I was perfectly fine with it.
"Wait there Sparks" he said coolly, his gaze piercing into mine. That made me freeze; he never ever called me by my last name.
"What do you want?" I asked wearily trying to seize escape methods.
"Just wanted to let you know the game is still on" with that said he pushed past me, his eyes as cold as ice.
What was that about? I decided to ignore it and kept walking to class. Just my luck, now I had Literature with Daniel. I seriously despised him. I don't mind how he dresses or whatever, but his personality puts me in the edge. I reached the class' door with a sigh and went down to seat at my desk. Daniel didn't show up for the entire lesson and I was glad about that. When I was collecting my book my phone buzzed. Who could it be? I guess I could see during lunch. It was one period away anyway. I opened the door that led to Biology, big mistake. As soon as I opened it I heard the sound of the wind being cut by the moving thread and before I had time to move I felt water wash all over me; soaking me from head to toe. And guess what? Today I was wearing a white t-shirt and brought no sweater or hoodie. I gritted my teeth and tried to stop the shivering from the coldness of the water. From the corner of my eye I saw Logan trying to hold back laughter and Maggie gasping. He wants war? He's going to get it! I stomped to my lab table and we carried on with the lesson.
I was heading to the cafeteria, my head down. I could hear wolf-whistles and feel the stares of the people I passed by. Logan Chase will dearly pay for this humiliation. Our lunch table consisted of Jane, Brian, Brittany, Todd and me. Sometimes Maddie came and joined us. As I looked up I could see she wasn't joining us today and I groaned internally. Jane and Brian were Britt's former friends when she arrived here, also they were a couple. And Brittany and Todd were too. What lefts me as the third cartwheel.
After the bucket of water fiasco I wasn't hungry anymore. So I padded my way towards the table. Sitting down all eyes were on me. The one who spoke first was Britt.
"Sam, what happened to you?" she asked eyes wide.
"Logan Chase happened" I sneered as a response. Her eyes switched to concern.
"Are you ok? You know you can leave if you want to" she spoke quietly.
"Oh, don't worry about me. He who shall not be mentioned will suffer the consequences" I replied with an evil glint in my eyes.
"Is she alright?" I heard Jane whispering to Brittany.
"I think so. But I'm sure that by tomorrow Logan won't be" she didn't bother to whisper since she knew I heard Jane. My response was to nod my head.
Since I wasn't hungry and I needed some planning I excused myself and went to the library. Suddenly I remembered the text message I got. After searching in my pocket, my hand came in contact with metal. Pulling out my phone I saw it was from the brother of the kid from the airplane. Cocking my head to one side I pressed read. 'Mike is making me crazy, he wants to see you badly. Are you free today?' I thought for a moment and the truth was I wasn't. I needed to prepare everything for my revenge to Chase. Hitting the reply button, I typed hastily 'Sorry, I can't today. What about tomorrow?' It wasn't until I was seated in the library that I got his reply 'Sure, meet us at The Big Ben at 4'I smiled I always wanted to see how the Big Ben was. I'll ask Britt and Maddie if they want to come.
So, back to Logan. I already have a plan formed in my head. Also I have to lookout for anymore of those tricks of him. Normally I'm quite the pacific girl, who everyone believes has not one fiber of malice. But when someone makes me mad; prepare for hell.
