The next day, we woke up. I could smell something delicious. "Matt Mums cooking her homemade chocolate chip pancakes!" I exclaimed. Me and Matt leaped downstairs and sat at the table waiting for our tasty pancakes. The pancakes were sizzling in the pan on the stove. "Where is Mum and Dad". Questioned Matt." I don't know". I said."MUM DAD!" I shouted. No answer. I called again. Still now answer. "We should go look for them". I said. "Right". Said my brother. The pancakes were just sizzling and hissing on the stove. We went in the bedroom They weren't there. We went to the bathroom They weren't there. We went to the living room they weren't there. We went to the utility room they weren't there. Finally we went to the Attic but our parents weren't there. But something creepy happened an old mirror in the Attic moaned. A ghostly moan. The mirror started to shake rapidly, frantically. The mirror shaked and moaned, shaked and moaned, shaked and moaned. "What's happening!?" Screeched Matt. Over the moans and crys of the shaking mirror. "I don't know". I yelled back. "Lets go back to the kitchen!" I shouted. We ran out the Attic and slammed the stairs shut as soon as we went back to the kitchen. We sat back down at the table. The moaning stopped. Silence not even a drip of water from the tap. "Where are Mum and Dad now?" Questioned Matt. "Okay just keep calm". I said softly. "Where going to be alright don't worry". Then I noticed a piece of paper stuck to the fridge. I went to grab it. "What's this?" I said. The note said: Gone shopping be back soon. Be safe love Mum and Dad. "Mum and Dad have gone shopping". I replied to Matt. "They'll be back soon okay". I said. We'll just keep as safe as we can and do not go into the Attic okay?". I said. "Okay Daniel". Replied Matt casually.
