Yukata Len, Yukata Rin, And Yukata Rin AS's Birthday

An Unhappy 18th Birthday

I really don't want to post this, but I have to. Because a Len module is having his birthday today and I have to post it. So, I'll try my best not to cry while writing this. Hope you enjoy!

*For this story only, Yukata Rin and Yukata Rin AS are already dead. So, keep that in mind. Also keep in mind that words written in italics are a flashback. And quotations means both writing and sign language.*

The date was April 2nd, 2020. For one specific module in Negi Root City, it is his birthday today. And that module is Minoru Ikeda [Yukata Len]. But these are some sad times for him. For 2 reasons. One reason is because of the coronavirus that has affected most of the world, including Negi Root City. Another reason is Minoru's 2 sisters Yumiko [Yukata Rin] and Katie [Yukata Rin AS]. They have died from the coronavirus not too long ago, and it affected Minoru greatly. He really cared for his 2 sisters. They were his only family after his parents passed away. His mother died while giving birth to all 3 of them (yes, they're triplets), and his father died from a heart attack when the triplets were only 5 years of age. Now, at 18, Minoru is all alone. All of his friends were stuck at home because of the coronavirus (but he didn't have that many friends). He went outside to his little garden, where he picked a couple of sunflowers up.

You see, like Halley Handrolez [Hello World] he loves flowers and nature. And he is also deaf like her. However, unlike Halley, he was born with this disability. And the reason why he picked sunflowers is because his sisters both loved them. He went out further into his backyard, where two tombstones lay. One was for Yumiko, the eldest of the triplets, and the other was for Katie, the middle child. He put a sunflower next to both of the tombstones, wiping a few tears as he did so. He really misses them.

Meanwhile, Minoru was laying down on his living room couch, drinking some apple juice that he made himself. He makes pretty much any kind of juice to pass the time while in quarantine. But he really wasn't watching TV. His sisters were on his mind. Out of 800,000+ people in Negi Root City, why did those 2 have to get the virus? He finished his juice and decided to make a little cake for himself.

Once the cake was done a couple hours later, he put 18 candles on top and lit them. The kitchen table had a couple of pictures on it. One of Yumiko, and one of Katie. Minoru wanted them both to see this little moment. A picture of his parents was there as well. He thought about his birthday wish, and blew them out. He cut a slice and ate it. Minoru then put the rest of the cake in the refrigerator.

It was now afternoon, and Minoru was now watching some old home videos on the TV. His dad was on TV, and 3 kids. Those 3 kids were the Ikeda triplets. The video caption at the bottom of the screen said April 2, 2006. The triplets were turning 4.

Mr. Ikeda: Is this thing recording? Okay, we are ready to rock! Happy birthday, kiddos! I made you your favorite cake.

Yukata Len: Did you say something, Daddy?

Katie wrote something down on an iPad.

Kitty Yukata: "He said he made our favorite cake."

Yukata Len: Oh boy!

Yukata Rin: Daddy, what about our presents?

Mr. Ikeda: (in sign language) "Now now, kids. You can open them as soon as we're done with the cake."

Kitty Yukata: We're not eating it all, are we Daddy?

Mr. Ikeda: "Of course not, honey. We're going to give some to the Ritryono family. They have a 5-year-old daughter that absolutely loves this kind of cake."

Yukata Rin: You mean Serene, right?

Mr. Ikeda: "Yes. She can be a little loud sometimes, but you'll grow to love her eventually. Now, let's have some cake!"

The video ended there. Minoru decided to watch other home videos to pass the time for the rest of the afternoon.

I really didn't want to end it there. But I don't think I have the heart to continue this. I kinda want to see a continuation of this written by one of my Wattpad friends where Siren and her friends visit Yukata Len on his birthday and maybe have the rest of the cake. I would do it myself, but I'm afraid I might cry while I'm writing it. So, there's your assignment, ladies. If you want to write a continuation of this, you can. With that said, I'm ending it here.
