Odd Girl Out ( Human Amedot AU)

Seat Neighbors

The yellow-headed girl frantically runs out of her house, waving to her family and sloppily pacing her way towards the bus before it leaves. She gets there just in time, and climbs in, scanning the surrounding area of the school bus. She looks for a spot to sit, but only one of them was left, a girl with long hair, partially dyed lavender and medium dark skin. She awkwardly sits down, staring at her knees in silence, as the trees keep blurring by from the speed of the vehicle. After a good minute, someone decides to break the ice. "Hey broski. Never seen you before." The girl stares out the window, not making eye contact. "Oh.. me?" Peridot's eyes dart around nervously, not knowing how to interact with other people due to lack of social interaction from homeschooling for five and-a-half years. "Yeah you, dude. No one else takin' up my seat," the girl jokes. "Oh- I'm sorry, I'll just stand." The girl finally looked over at her as Peridot got up, and grabbed her hand. "I'm just razzin' you. Are you new here?" She reaches out her soft hand kindly. "Oh uh.. yeah. I'm Peridot.. I go by Peri most of the time though.. I turned 15 not long ago." her voice trembles awkwardly. "Nice to meet ya', Peridot. I'm Amethyst, but I often go by Ames or Amy." Amethyst gives off a warm smile, the bus comes to a rapid halt. "Oh hey, that's our stop." 

Everyone scatters out of the bus. Peridot gets out, trying to stay relatively close to Amethyst and knocked over almost immediately. She looks up after everyone's already on their way in and sees a gigantic woman, about 6'5 and very buff. Blonde hair, dark skin with white markings, which it's hard to tell if they're scars, birthmarks, or if she has viltigo. Peridot stares up at her elegance, amazed by how tall and strong she looked. "Watch where you're going, you puny bitch." The girl snarls, and walks off triumphantly, as if she had just won a duel. Amethyst stood there, looking angry. "I'm sorry about her.." She helps Peridot up, and they slowly walk together. "That's Jasper. She's a senior, and shes a jerk to everyone. She normally isolates herself, but when she's not, shes isolating others and picking fights with them. Such a bully." They both walk in. Peridot bumps into a tall girl with dark blue hair and very pale skin, she seems extremely tired and unhappy. "Oh, I'm sorry.. Mrs..?" She glares down at her. "..It's Lapis." Peridot just walks on, not sure what that girl's cold personality was about. "Who's that girl? She seems.. distant." Amethyst chuckles. "That's because she is. She mostly isolates herself from everyone. Her and Jasper used to rule this school hierarchy together until Jasper used her for her body and got broken up with, Jasper threw her under the bus and is always bullying her. It's kinda sad, poor girl." Peridot sighs "So this is what high school is like.. that's depressing." Amethyst shrugs. "You'll get used to it, stay safe new girl, don't pick any fights with Jasper or something, alright?" She waves and walks off to class, out of view. Peridot fumbles with her locker and opens it, clutching the new books she was assigned and runs along, following her schedule. She trips over something, and looks up at the ginormous shadowy figure that is Jasper. "You dumb runt, get the hell outta' my damn way." Peridot shrivels back into a corner. "You wanna get beat up? Looks like a free win to me, bitch." Peridot continues cowering back into the bathroom, a seemingly ideal place for someone to get beat up, until a silhouette enters the door. "Leave her alone, you giant ball of jerk." Peridot's eyes light up, before she gets dragged out by Amethyst into an empty classroom. "Thank you.." Peridot mumbles nervously. "I told you, stay away from that girl, and if she approaches you, just run." Amethyst exits, her hair brushing past Peridot, giving her odd chills. She quickly walks out and resumes finding her class, she arrives and sits down in the back, and grabs her books. 

Sooo I don't know if this is any good, and I know it's short, mainly because it's the first chapter and just meant to be mostly an introduction, but yeah, anyways, enjoy!
