Jungkook's POV

Jungkook reached out his hand towards the door Chloe had disappeared through.

He pushed the door shut and turned his back to it, letting himself slide to the floor. He looked down at his hands once more.

"What have I done?" he whispered.

How could he have been so stupid? Without BTS, without Chloe, what did he have? She probably hates me. Why did I push her away? He thought.

He didn't move from that spot until the next day.

~~~~~~~
In his sleep-deprived state, he walked straight into his chair.
He threw the chair into his bookcase, smashing it with a resounding crack.
His camera fell down onto his bed. He walked over and pressed the on button.
The first image that popped up on the screen was his favourite photograph. He'd taken a picture of Chloe when they went to see the fireworks together. The colours exploded in the sky behind her bright smile. Her eyes sparkled despite the darkness that surrounded her. That was why it was his favourite. It was the perfect depiction of how he saw her through his eyes.
A single tear crawled down his face and dropped onto the small screen.
The battery warning light flickered in the corner of his treasured memory. He gazed at her face for a while longer until it faded away. He placed the camera back into its position on the bookcase and picked up his phone.
He started typing.
Chloe's POV
A day passed in a flash.
I had to drag myself to my bed the next morning before I finally got some sleep.
~~~~~~~

I awoke from my nap and stretched. It was late and the outside world had descended into darkness.

Perfect timing for a nice walk through the town, I thought.

I checked my phone before leaving. No notifications. A bitter smile spread across my lips.

"I guess he has nothing to say" I whispered, grabbing my coat and heading out into that fateful night.

Jungkook's POV

Jungkook stared down at the message for a minute before deleting it.

"I'm sorry" he whispered.

He let the phone slip from his hands and smash on the ground.

He closed his door delicately before walking out into the cold night. He reached the building he'd taken Chloe to before.

He ascended the stairs one at a time, counting each one as he went.

He pushed the door to the roof open and approached the edge.

He recalled the happiness he had felt when he'd gazed into her eyes on this very rooftop. That could never happen again. Without BTS, he felt useless. He had hurt the only girl who'd ever stuck by him.

He stepped up onto the rim of the roof. He walked along the edge, placing one foot in front of the other until he had rounded the building.

"I feel so alone. Like I'm in my own time and space... why did things have to turn out like this?" He asked into the night sky.
