The Love She Feels

Chapter 3

Evie's POV

I wake up to the sound of pounding on my door and arguing to see Naomi arguing with Sam, I rub my eyes and sit up, Naomi telling Sam, "You both have mates somewhere out there and you still do this all the time Sam! What's gonna happen when one of you find your mate and you cant keep sleeping in each others rooms and spending so much time together?" She yells at sam and he responds with, "We'll cross that bridge when we get there Naomi just leave it alone! It's none of your business."

They both turn to me when they see that i've woken up from all the arguing, Naomi huffs and she comes over and starts dragging me back to my room defeated as I look behind me giving a sad smile to Sam. "We have to get ready for school, go take a shower and i'll be back in after my shower to help you get ready." she says.

I climb into the shower, washing my needle-straight light brown hair, face and body. I come back out after a few minutes of standing under the water taking in the warmth like a hug and wrap myself with a towel ringing my hair out and letting it fall to my shoulders. Naomi peaks her head into my room, with her tightly curled natural hair bouncing still wet from her shower and smiling obviously ready for the day.

"Im gonna help you get ready! Mostly because you have no sense of what matches and what looks good on you without me!" She says smiling. After over a half an hour of arguing she finally accepted that I refused to wear anything revealing as I walk out of my room feeling accomplished wearing what I normally would, some dark blue jeans with a hoodie from one of my favorite bands and sporting some new vans I'd gotten for the new school year. Naomi wearing some ripped jeans and a v-neck with some plain flats as she follows behind me to the kitchen, wanting to eat before we leave. There was about five of us sitting at the table, the higher ups of the pack living in their own separated house from the rest, There was Sam and Brenton, brothers and son to our fill-in alpha for my dad, then Naomi and Josh which were the kids of our current beta.

After we ate Naomi and I were the first to leave, driving together in my Jeep. I wanted to get to school early since I was anxious about my first day, my anxiety making me sick to my stomach as I pull into the parking lot, stopping in the assigned spot I had been given. The whole drive here was quiet since Naomi knew how anxious I was.

"You know I'm gonna be with you all day, I wouldn't let anything bad happen to my bestfriend, plus no one would want to beat up an alpha." she tells me smiling, trying to make me feel better. Sam pulls into the spot besides me and then his brother and Josh driving together parks into a spot across the lot, Brenton and Sam wasn't very close and Josh had always been a lot closer to Brenton.

Me and Naomi got out of my car as we saw people starting to walk into the school, dreading the rest of the day as I walk in the front doors.
