"Wendy, run away with me. I know I sound crazy, don't you see what you do to me? I could be your lost boy..."
I watched as the tall lanky boy sang. His name was Alex Gaskarth. My hero, my inspiration. He sang his heart out on the stage. As of right now, the band was playing Somewhere In Never land. Rian hit the drums, Zack and Jack played the last few notes on the guitar/bass. They were smiling widely.
The band formed a huddle in the stage and whispered quietly. Where I was at, I couldn't hear what they were saying, I only saw their mouths moving up and down. Finally, the band tore apart from their huddle, and Jack walked across the stage, holding his guitar on the opposite sides of the strings. On the back was 'BOOBIES' written on a purple piece of paper and using a black marker.
"Do you guys mind if we slow it down a bit?" Alex asked into the microphone. The crowed cheered and Alex smiled as the other band members walked off the stage. "That's good, because, you really don't have a choice." The crowd cheered again as he walked over to a man standing at the exit of the stage. He handed him his green guitar and grabbed an acoustic guitar and a small wooden stool to sit on. He went back to his microphone and set his stool down and sat. He played the strings of his guitar to the tune of Therapy. He begn to sing into the microphone:
My ship went down
In a sea of sound.
When I woke up alone I had everything:
A handful of moments I wished I could change
And a tongue like a nightmare that cut like a blade.
In a city of fools,
I was careful and cool,
But they tore me apart like a hurricane...
A handful of moments I wished I could change
But I was carried away.
Give me therapy.
I'm a walking travesty
But I'm smiling and everything.
Therapy...
You were never a friend to me
And you can keep all your misery.
My lungs gave out
As I faced the crowd.
I think that keeping this up could be dangerous.
I'm flesh and bone,
I'm a rolling stone
And the experts say I'm delirious.
Give me therapy.
I'm a walking travesty
But I'm smiling and everything.
Therapy...
You were never a friend to me
And you can take back your misery.
Arrogant boy,
Love yourself so no one has to.
They're better off without you.
(They're better off without you.)
Arrogant boy,
Cause a scene like you're supposed to.
They'll fall asleep without you.
