A/N: As promised, here is the chapter for this week. I hope you all are staying safe and are healthy throughout this corona virus outbreak. I've been more on the depressed side recently so the next chapter might be really dark(not this one though). Anyways, I'm sorry if it is or if it takes me extra time to update. Alrighty then, have a gay day my readers and enjoy the story!!!!!!!!!!

Veronica walked through the gates to her new school. Wow, new school, new town, new home, new life. This time I'm not going to be a bitch. She moved gracefully through the front doors holding her chin high, shoulders squared back. She didn't know what the social environment here would be like.

A yelp of pain stopped her in her tracks. Thumps sounded, a call for help. "CHERYL!" Who the hell is Cheryl? A slamming noise sounds, she can hear sobs. Mumbles of the name she heard before. Veronica's feet begin to move towards the noises. She turns a corner. There's a girl lying on the floor curled up in a ball crying. Veronica rushes over.

The girl sees her and flips onto her butt, scooting backwards quickly. "Please. Don't hurt me!" She backs up against a wall. Unable to go any further she shields her face with her hands, begging for mercy.

"Ssshhhh. It's okay, I won't hurt you." Veronica was being as gentle as she could. The girl in front of her slowly dropped her hands. Her nose was bleeding and she had a black eye. A black eye? This can't have been the first time then. She held out her hand to help the blonde girl up. "I'm Veronica."

The girl's tear stained face was white as paper. She looked Veronica up and down then jumped into her arms, holding on as tight as she could, worried the guys would come back. "It's okay. I'm here."

Cheryl turned the corner and saw a girl she had never seen before holding Betty. Betty was crying. Cheryl's protective instincts kicked in. "What the hell are you doing? Get the fuck away from her or I will hurt you." The raven haired girl looked shocked and stepped back.

Cheryl balled up her fists walking towards the Latina. Betty jumped in front of her. "Cheryl stop, she was helping me." Now it was the redhead girl's turn to look shocked. "Nobody's ever done that before. Who are you?"

"Veronica. I'm Veronica Lodge." The brunette replied with a small smile. It quickly turned into a frown as she tried to process what had just happened. "What the hell was that?" Cheryl gripped Betty tightly and tears filled the blonde's eyes. "Oh no. I'm sorry. Please don't cry." Veronica put a hand on Betty's shoulder. The blonde sniffled and wiped away the fresh tears. Meanwhile, the redhead's eyes still hadn't left Veronica. She looked confused, shocked even, but why?

Betty had hurried to the bathrooms to clean herself up leaving the two behind. Veronica remembered something Cheryl said. "What do you mean nobody's ever helped her before? What is going on here?" The brunette asked, becoming more confused as she thought about it more. Cheryl replied with, "Basically she's being bullied, really bad. It's like everyone here is against her. It's not my place to tell you why though, that you have to learn from her." Veronica nodded and, upon hearing the bell ring, she headed off to her first class.
