A certain ginger-haired bass player had overheard Virgil's conversation with the barista. Logan had happened to overhear while he was waiting for Patton's and his drinks. He was intrigued by what they were saying so he kept listening even after their drinks were delivered.

Once they finish speaking and Virgil leaves, Logan heads over to the booth where Patton is sitting.
"What took you so long, kiddo?" Patton asks as Logan sits down.

"My apologies. I had gotten distracted," Logan says.

"With what?" Patton asks curiously.
"Do you know the Music Knight?" Logan asks.

"Not personally, but yea he's a famous YouTube singer and guitarist," Patton replies.

"Apparently he's at this coffee shop right now," Logan states.

"Really? Do you know where?" Patton asks looking around.

"A booth in the back," Logan says.

"Do think it'd be alright if we said hi?" Patton asks looking at Logan nervously.

"I do not see why not. We should be discreet though since we don't want to be the cause of a bunch of fans swarming him," Logan states.

"Alright!" Patton exclaims happily.

"This'll give me the opportunity to learn more about Virgil. I wonder what he plays and I'm curious as to what he meant when he said he thought someone recognized him," Logan thinks.

They get up and head over to the booth. Logan could see that Patton is very excited because he almost starts skipping. Roman and Virgil are just small talking as they walk over.

"Um hello! My name is Patton and this is my friend Logan. Uh, we just wanted to say hi and well um," Patton cheerfully says. He pauses midsentence trying to think of what to say.

"Do you mind if we sit down? It would attract less attention," Logan says.

"Sure! Always happy to meet a fan," Roman states.

"You weren't so happy when they were crowding around you," Virgil mumbles as Logan sits next to him and Patton sits next to Roman.

Patton and Roman instantly hit it off. Their happy, social personalities mixing well together. But while Patton and Roman instantly start chatting, Virgil and Logan are a bit slower.

"I hear you can book gigs here," Logan says.

"Uh, yea. Do you have an act or are you just interested?" Virgil says.

"Both," Logan replies.

"What kinda act you got?" Virgil asks.

"I play bass," Logan states.

"You do? I took you more for the classical music type," Roman interjects.

"I do enjoy classical music, but I don't know. The bass piqued my interest," Logan says.

"Well, I play the drums!" Patton chimes in cheerfully as he takes his drumsticks out of his picnic basket.

"Huh," is all Virgil says in response.

"What is it?" Roman asks.

"1. Do you carry your drumsticks with you everywhere?" Virgil asks Patton.

Patton shakes his head. "I accidentally brought them with me today. I was in a rush out the door and threw them in my basket on my way out," he replies with a laugh.

"Alright, and well 2. We happen to have gathered four musicians all at the same table. Thought it was funny," Virgil says.

"Wait, you're a musician?" Roman exclaims, "How come you're just now bringing it up?"

"What do you play, kiddo?" Patton asks.

"Yes, I'm a musician. Didn't think to bring it up sooner. Piano and keyboard," Virgil states.

"Yea and he's got a gig here tonight if you want to see him play," Remy jumps in. He leans on one of the booth seats looking at the table of four. He smirks as he looks at a startled Virgil.

"You should know not to sneak up on me by now!" Virgil hisses at Remy.

Remy just chuckles and shrugs in response before turning to the others. "Virgil here is a regular both in drinks and gigs," he says.

Virgil grumbles in response and sips his drink. A slight barely noticeable blush dusting his cheeks.

"What time do you perform tonight?" Logan asks.

"7:00," Virgil mumbles into his cup.

"I can't wait!" Patton says excitedly.

"Wait, you want to see me perform?" Virgil asks, stunned.

"I'm interested in coming," Logan says.

"I'd be down to see you perform," Roman says.

"If you can get out of the crowd of fans?" Virgil teases.

"Haha very funny. You should be honored that I'm coming!" Roman states.

"Maybe we can see you perform here one day," Remy interjects.

"Sure! Why not?" Roman says.

Virgil opens his mouth and goes to say something before Roman jumps in again and says, "That was rhetorical."

Virgil chuckles and shrugs then he looks them in the eyes seriously. "So you're all to see me perform?" he asks nervously.

They all nod their heads yes.

"Well alright," Virgil says in response. He gets up as Logan gets up to let him past. He exits the booth and says, "Guess I'll see you then."

"Leaving already?" Patton asks.

"Yea, gotta practice," Virgil replies.

"Don't practice your fingers off," Remy says.

"Yea, I'm actually looking forward to hearing you play," Roman says.

"I won't. I just need to make sure I have the song down," Virgil says.

"Would you like some company?" Logan asks as Virgil starts to walk away.

"Um sure," Virgil replies. "Let's go."

As they leave Virgil says one more thing to Roman. "Careful of the fans. I won't be there to save you this time!" Virgil says with a laugh before walking out the door with Logan right behind him. They can hear Roman shout indignantly and see him stand up before the door closes behind them.

They share a small laugh knowing that Roman attracted attention to himself and is no doubt being swarmed by fans for the second time that day. They walk towards Virgil's apartment happily. Logan seems to recognize the route they're walking, but he ignores the feeling of familiarity until they get to the complex building.

Notes:
Some fun shenanigans between the sides already and they've barely been together for an hour or so. This is such a fun story to write and I hope you all enjoy it too. There is no set posting schedule but with everything happening right now I should be able to get chapters out more frequently. With that being said,
The end for now! ~Violet
