Dani POV
"That is incorrect Daniela" my math teacher shook his head in disappointment. It wasn't my fault he called me out, I was still doing the damn problem he assigned. I sighed rolling my eyes, he knows I'm a shy person why the hell does he want to call me out?
The bell rung meaning the current period was over. I squealed in joy before running out of that hell of a classroom as I stopped by my locker. I put the combination in grabbing my book bag for 6th (and last) period. I'm originally not good with science but with mrs. Messier as a teacher, how could I fail!? She's the best teacher ever and she makes science a whole lot easier and better.
My 6th grade science teacher was one of those lazy, terrible teachers that just didn't give a crap at her job. So it's her fault I don't know anything that I was already supposed to.
"Hey guys!" She greeted the class cheerfully like she always does. I smiled as her good mood brightened my day automatically. "Alright start your warm up for today so you can get started on your projects!" Mrs. Messier said taking a seat on her chair
It's weird how we have like 45 or so minutes for each class but 6th period is an hour long! I started on my warm up as my friend Aliyah sat down next to me "hey you would not believe what happened in gym class!" she greeted opening her science notebook "what happened?" I asked already intrigued into the conversation "okay so Jeremy was playing around and he ran into Mikey but by accident and then Mikey punched him right in the face!" Aliyah said giggling a bit "oh my god! Is Jeremy okay!?" I asked concerned "I'm not sure, but I doubt it, you could here that punch from across the room and I think he got sent to the nurses office" Aliyah said looking at me as she finished her warm up
"Damn, well Jeremy was kinda asking for it" I say shrugging as I closed my science notebook "how?" Aliyah asked "well Jeremy is a perverted player y'know? He hits on every girl every way. He won't care if that girl has a boyfriend he'll just think about dating that girl one way or another" I said rolling my eyes
"That's true" Aliyah said leaning back in her seat. Mrs. Messier started talking about the warm up signaling that the class was starting.
~1 hour later~
The bell rung and Aliyah and I ran out of the classroom shouting a goodbye to mrs. Messier "bye guys have a great weekend!" She called out as the several 7th grade boys and girls pushed past each other to make their ways to their buses. "Bye!" Aliyah shouted as she made her way to her bus "bye!" I shouted back as I got in mine
"Hey" I greeted my older sister Miranda "hey" she said as I sat down next to her "I'm so fucking tired" I say leaning on the window "I know I am to, good thing it's a Friday" she said smiling "I know right" I said taking out my phone "oh, I almost forgot, my Tia wants us to stop by her house for a surprise" Miranda said sitting back "what kind of surprise?" I asked putting putting my mp3 on shuffle
"I dunno she just said surprise" Miranda said shrugging. I leaned on her shoulder when Malique came onto the bus. Malique is her current boyfriend, I never really talked to him and I don't plan on doing it any time soon, Miranda thinks I'll pressure him too much and shit will go down, can you blame a sister for being a little overprotective? Oh well I sighed as they started talking about their day and what they should do over the weekend
Our stop is the 2nd to last so it's gonna be awhile till we get off, Malique however leaves at the 5th stop. Then it's one more stop and it's our turn. I sniffled before pulling my hood up and getting into a comfortable enough position, I wish I could fall asleep right now but my jackass of a bus driver will notice and get me written up. I plug in both my earphones before turning up the volume, as I listen to some Never Shout Never I get relaxed and start thinking about life
I wonder what my Tia got us, since we're Mexican it's probably something valuable, something homemade, probably cost her either money or time. my mother is a complete bitch, she blames me for the reason my real dad left us when is was born, Miranda had him when she was young but she doesn't remember anything about him considering she was still young, just a toddler. since my real dad was gone my mom went out and found another one. Max is now my stepdad, he's a terrible one in fact, all he does is get wasted, rapes me and my sister, and he'll even hit us.
Although I have a crappy life, I cherish it cuz I have other things to look forward to like friends, my sister, my Tia, life itself. I sometimes wonder what life would be like if my dad was here, we would probably be one of those happy, loving families that did everything and anything together. i wonder why my dad left us. is my mom right? Was it because of me? Was I too much? Did he not want another child? Was I holding him back? I dunno but if I ever do meet him I'm sure as hell gonna ask him
"Dani, let's go" Miranda awoke me from my trance. I looked up and saw that we were at our stop, I got up and slung my backpack over my shoulder. I walked off the bus heading towards my Tia's house. my sister had the keys so she unlocked the door announcing our arrival "Tia! We're home!" Miranda yelled closing the door
"I'm in the kitchen" my Tia said as me and my sister dropped our backpacks before heading into the kitchen. I froze when I saw Pierce The Veil in my Tia's kitchen "i must be exhausted cuz I'm starting to see pierce the veil in the kitchen" I giggled rubbing my eyes "Dani, I don't think your imagining it" Miranda said breathily
I gulped before I stared at Vic's brown eyes, they look real, he blinks normally, he's actually breathing "then what's Pierce The Veil doing in my kitchen" I ask fan girling a bit "which one of you is Daniela?" Vic spoke up "I am, I go by Daniela and Dani I respond to both" I say stepping forward
Vic got on his knees to get to my height. I am pretty short so he did have to get to his knees to meet my height. Vic's eyes filled with tears before he looked back to his band mates, he looked me in the eyes before he hugged me tightly. I awkwardly stood there for a second before i patted his back, "there there?" I say before looking at his band mates only to see that they were in tears as well
"I-I'm sorry-it's just-I" Vic stuttered before sniffling "it's fine don't worry about it" I say shrugging it off "um, I don't wanna sound rude but what are you doing here?" Miranda asks the guys as they wiped their tears away
"Miranda, don't you remember me?" Vic asked, well it was more like a plead "um, I don't remember you but I know that your Vic Fuentes" Miranda said
"I'm gonna leave you guys to talk" my Tia said leaving the kitchen "how do you know my sisters name?" I ask Vic as Miranda and I took a seat "how could I forget" Vic said smiling "I'm lost" I said as the guys chuckled
"What I'm about to tell you, it's a little unbelievable" Vic said as the tension around us grew "Miranda, Dani," Vic began before looking at his band mates once more
"I'm your father" Vic ended
