Chapter 23

I really can't believe I went MIA for so long! My life has been a mess and I'm so sorry for not updating in forever. I hope this video from when Seventeen made my life better makes up for it! Let me know if y'all like this chapter. It's been so long since I've written I'm a little worried lol.

(Jeonghan's P.O.V)

"Try that part again. The delivery needs to have more emotion."

Jihoon tells us from the other side of the glass. Hana and I are standing next to each other in front of the microphone. We both nod sing a few more times until we're all satisfied.

"I should call Namjoon and Yoongi and see what they think about the changes."

Hana says as we walk out of the booth. She grabs her phone off of the counter and jumps up to replace it. The call gets put on speaker so all three of us can hear. Pretty soon the ringing stops with a breathless sounding hello following.

"Yoongi-Oppa are you finished with practice?"

"Why? What do you want? Since you said oppa I'm guessing you want me to bring you something to eat like always."

Her face turns red from embarrassment and Jihoon and I hold back our laughter making Hana shoot a playful glare at us. After recovering her expression changes into a smirk.

"That's not what I was calling for but since you offered..."

"No chance. It's someone else's turn for that. Anyways, the guys and I are about to run through the choreo once more to make sure we've got it down. After that we're done for the day."

 "Perfect! Jeonghan and Jihoon are here, by the way you're on speaker, and we have a updated version of the song we all got stuck on if you guys want to come listen to it."

"I'm pretty sure I can speak for all of us when saying we'd love to hear it. Give us ten minutes and we'll be there. I'm assuming you're all still in the recording studio?"

"Yeah we are. Take your time and finish practice strong."

"Will do. Bye."

(Hana's P.O.V)

Minutes later someone knocks on the door before opening it and seven males pile into the room. The maknae line (lead by Taehyung) instantly pull me into a group hug while the other four greet Jihoon and Jeonghan.

"Yah let go of me you're all covered in sweat!"

I complain but the little devils don't listen. I look towards the others for help but they all just laugh at my struggling.

"Wait why are you wearing a hoodie that's way too big for you? You're practically swimming in it!"

Hoseok questions.

"It's a long story don't worry about it."

"Anyways, we figured you three might be thirsty so we brought some water."

Jin changes the subject before handing water bottles to the guys and placing the third on the table for me to have once I get my arms back.

"So what changes did you make to the song?"

"Well Namjoon, Jeonghan had the brilliant idea to make it into a duet."

"Really? Why didn't we think of that sooner? That's a great idea."

Yoongi compliments the idea and Jeonghan returns it with a shy smile.

"What are we waiting for then? Let's hear it already!"

Jungkook wines while pouting. We all laugh at the youngest's actions before Jihoon plays the song.

"What do you all think?"

I ask once the song ends. My throat becomes dry from nerves and I take a drink of water while I wait for someone to respond. Partway though the song I snuck away from the hug when they were distracted.

"I love it! It's such a cute love song."

Taehyung yells and the others nod in agreement. I feel a sense of relief wash over me and judging by the looks on Jeonghan's and Jihoon's faces they feel the same way. While everyone was giving positive comments Jimin quietly raises his hand wanting attention.

"What's wrong Jimin?"

I ask.

"I have to admit that there's something about the song that I don't like."

"Well what didn't you like?"

"That I wasn't the one singing with you! You promised that I could sing a love song with you."

He suddenly whines with his 'pouting' voice while flailing around like a child. I find myself at a loss for words at his sudden actions. Everyone has the same surprised face as me but I notice that Jeonghan's expression turns into one of guilt and sadness.

(Jeonghan's P.O.V)

I knew I shouldn't have agreed to do this. Of course I'm not the only one wanting to do a song with Hana. I bet they even like each other and are-

"Yah! What makes you think you get to decide who sings in what song? You're acting like a child!"

Hana's yelling pulls me out of my thoughts and. She's suddenly face to face with him but the based on the look she's giving him is scary for me so I can't imagine how Jimin is feeling receiving it. The others seem surprised at the situation as well and appear to not know what to do.

"But Hana..."

"Don't 'but' me this wasn't supposed to be a duet in the first place before things changed. I asked Jeonghan to join me mainly because making it a duet was his idea in the first place."

Jimin looks down at his feet sadly and mutters a sorry to her.

"I'm not the one you should be apologizing to Jimin. That needs to be directed to Jeonghan. How would you feel you were in his shoes?"

"You're right like always."

He turns towards me and bows.

"I'm truly sorry Jeonghan. I let my emotions get the best of me and I hope you can forgive me."

"It's okay I completely understand."

He stands back up with a more relaxed expression before turning back to Hana and pulling her into a hug.

"So if I write a song will you sing with me no matter what?"

"Of course!"

(Hana's P.O.V)

"Hey I suddenly got an idea!"

"What is it Taehyung?"

"I'm glad you asked Namjoon-Hyung! What if Hana and Jeonghan made a music video for the song to give to the fans?"

"I like that sound of that."

I admit with a smile. He returns it with his signature box smile before Yoongi speaks up.

"I don't think the company will allow anything fancy though."

"Nah what I'm thinking is one of those behind the scenes videos when they record it and stuff like that!"

"I think that would be cute seeing the two together in a music video. Besides if the higher ups say no just do it anyways! I never listen to them so why start now."

We all laugh at Jin's input. I turn to Jeonghan and give him a look asking if he's okay with all of it and he understands and nods with a smile.

"Guess it's settled then. I'll talk to Bang PD tonight."
