Doc Patch got a call on a Sunday morning.

"A human? That's not exactly my forte, Leafos.. I-I mean I could try, I can't guarantee that it would work, all of my medicine is for Pinatas.. yes, bring him here.. thank you." Upon hanging up, patch let out a well needed sigh. He already knew who it was that was sick, he was really the only one who got sick. It's just that.. it's never gotten so bad to where Leafos had to bring him to his office. Usually when he was sick he would stay in his house and lay there until he felt better.. well, that's what he would tell Leafos at least.

After about 10 minutes of waiting, Patch got a knock on his door and he opened it to find Leafos.. and, of course, as he had expected, Dastardos.

"Bring him over here and set him on the bed." Patch motioned to a comfortable looking bed in the back of his office, "It should be comfortable enough in there for him."

Preparing all the human medications he could find (which was not much), he waited until Dastardos was lying on the bed to bring the medicines to his bedside.

"Do you need me for anything?" Leafos questioned, wanting to help in any way possible. She was just that kind of person, offering to help with a man such as Dastardos, that got enjoyment from smashing her pinatas into tiny bits.

"No, it's alright, Leafos, I'll be fine on my own." Patch slipped a shy smile to Leafos and it was returned with a kind smile.

As she opened the door to leave, she turned back for a brief moment. "I know that he's a pest, but.. I sure hope he feels better.." As Patch turned his head to look at her, it was already too late. The door had closed, leaving him and Dastardos alone.

"You can stop pretending now..." Patch looked at his patient, crossing his arms. A few seconds after he spoke up, Dastardos sat up and stretched. Patch groaned and took the medicines and put them away. "Is this your idea of coming in to say hi, Stardos?" Patch turned around and looked at Dastardos, and the white haired pest man looked back and gulped.

"I just wanted to spend time with my faaaaavorite person!" he nervously chuckled and picked at the sides of his mouth. "P-plus my skin is dry and i have a stomach ache so I may have pretended to be majorly sick to come see you...?" Dastardos coughed and cleared his throat "anyways, how are you, how's the job!" The quick subject change almost drove Patch nuts.

"It's... it's fine, Dastardos. Please don't fake being sick to come see me. You can always just drop by." Patch had grown tired of him sneaking in someway or another. This wasn't the first time that he was in here and wasn't sick. There was a time where he snuck in because of a sick pinata, a time where he wanted to steal medicine because he didn't want to be seen by patch (his plan failed miserably and was treated by Patch anyways), and a time where he was just looking for a 'good time'... but we don't talk about that. Doctor man went and sat beside pest boy and looked him in the eyes, "You can't go and make people worry for you like that. It's not cool." his surprisingly stern voice got through to Dastardos because he apologized for being sick.

"I'm sorry, Patchy.. I just.. I just like seeing you, y'know? I-it's not every day that I get attention either, and it's hard for me to be alone. As much as I hate to admit it, I do sometimes, only sometimes want to be held. Not by just anyone, but by you. I remember the times when I wasn't like.. this," He motioned to himself, his body, and his face, "I remember when we would hang out together, inseparable, and I remember the way that you would hold me when I was sad.." Dastardos paused, under his mask teeny little tears were forming, not because he was physically sick, but lovesick for Patch. He knew he was acting stupidly. He knew this wasn't like him. He knew a lot of things, but one of the things he knew good and well was that he loved Patch. He admired Patch and all that he did, being able to help instead of hurt and mend instead of break. He wanted that for himself, and that might've been the reason he had such strong feelings for him.

"Stardos," Patch started. "If you really felt like this, you should've told me sooner." almost reluctantly, Patch pulled Dastardos into a warm embrace, one that was a long time coming. Dastardos froze as patch spoke to him "I remember when you weren't so bad, too.. we can't go back, we have to live with ourselves with how we are now, in the present. Who you are now doesn't change how I used to feel about you. I still care about you, Stardos.."

And with that, they sat in silence, Patch hugging Dastardos and never wanting to let go. Dastardos, the pest, the menace, the grim reaper hugged Patch back, giving in to the love and care that he was receiving. After a few minutes, Dastardos buried his face into the doctor's neck and let out a sniffle.

"Thank you..."
