The return of the ex

Via woke up, confused she was waking up at 5:45am and even more confused why she was hearing multiple, although quiet, voices.

Sitting up, she attempted to process what was going on. However, it was quickly interrupted when her door burst open and Nia whispered yelled "WE'RE GOING ON TOUR!"
There was even less time to process things when Nia jumped on her, closely followed by Camryn, JoJo, and everyone else.
"Guys," Via's muffled voice came out underneath the pile, "I still need to get dressed."

Eventually everyone got off and Via was left to (quickly) get changed, get breakfast, brush her teeth and check everything needed was packed before she got into a car.

They were going to the hospital first, where they were visiting Marissa. Despite what you probably think, Via was upset her mom wasn't coming. During the original "The Irreplaceables Tour" , her mom alongside Christi, Jill and Kira were there and it stabilised her a bit.

They arrived and Via knew she couldn't spend too long with her mother, due to the fact that their flight was soon.
The first thing she did when she arrived at her moms hospital room, was rush to her and give a very emotional hug.
When Via pulled away, there were tears down her face which her mom noticed. "Oh Via," the pain on her face could be seen, "I want you to go and be happy. Not to be upset over me."
Via looked at the corridor where thankfully no one was there yet before wiping her face with her sleeve.
"I just don't want to let you down." She whispered.
Her mom shook her head. "No. I let you down exposing you to everything." She pulled Via closer.
"Promise me?" "Promise you what?"
"That you won't..." It was hard for Via's mom to say the words, "hurt yourself. Ok, try not to. Christi told me that she found the dr..."
Via looked away. "Sorry mom."
"It's OK. Just promise me to be happy OK?"
Via knew she couldn't promise that but she nodded anyway and just then, Kendall and Kalani emerged, followed by Jill and Kira.

Via didn't want to say anything around them. "Bye mom." She hugged her tightly before leaving the room.
Kira could be heard saying, "Marissa, you've been crying?"
Via rolled her eyes when she heard Jill whisper quietly, "Is everything OK between you guys?"
Thankfully though, her mom never lived for the drama.
"Yeah...it's just emotional leaving my baby." A sigh could be heard.
"I just want one favour..."
"What is it?" Everyone said.
Via's mom's voice could  barley be heard. "You...take care of her. The kids been through a lot."
"We promise we'll take care of her." Kalani could instantly be heard saying with Kendall chiming in agreement and Jill and Kira responding, "Absolutely."
Via didn't know what to think about that.

She got into Melissa's car again and spent the time headed towards the airport making TikToks with Kenzie and scrolling through Social Media where too her annoyance, she saw on Twitter, that Rory Lewis was in Australia.

Via nearly threw her phone in disgust. The last thing she wanted, when things were going so well was to be reunited with her ex.

Via had a pretty complicated relationship with Rory. Her first ever duet was with him, where they won first overall primary prep duet/trio at the Onstage New York Nationals with the routine "Mi Amor".
It was Hispanic themed which Via suspected was due to their Latina origins with Lewis' mum Vanessa having roots in Chile and Colombia .
Vanessa and Marissa were very good friends, having known each other for a long time and sharing similar traits in their background.

Via admittedly found their photo cute. Both aged just six, Rory was dapper in a crisp white shirt, which had half its buttons loose. Via wore a frilly, red dress with big hoop earrings and bright red lipstick.
The pose consisted of her leaning back into his arms while they both looked at the camera.
"Oh I remember that!" Via was jolted by Maddie's sudden recognition of the photo.
Ziegler added, "You guys were so cute. Do you still keep in contact?"
Via shook her head. There were a lot of reasons for that.

Thankfully, Via needed to say no more as they'd arrived at the airport.
Via sat next to Chloe for the flight and she was pretty sure she fell asleep for the whole 17hrs and 45mins as when she woke up, everyone was getting out the plane.

They went to the hotel, there was no rehearsal until tomorrow. Yet there was still an unpleasant surprise for Via.
"I'm filming a video and everyone's in it!" JoJo announced, pretty eager.
Via didn't roll her eyes at one of the girls she liked the most but she really didn't want to do it.
She didn't feel that well and they'd just arrived.
There was no protest though as everyone headed up to the room JoJo was sharing with Brynn.

"Hi everyone! Yes, we're ALL here and we're on tour! It's not just us though..." The door opened and everyone craned their necks to see who is was,
"...we're going to be joined by..."
Oh fuck off, Jordan gave a massive groan upon seeing who it was.
"Rory Lewis!"
