" You saw some random girl and now you think she's the love of your life?"
" What? No I never said all that. I just thought she was beautiful. " I said, grabbing the box of cereal.
I had invited Tae over the next day to tell him about the good news. I was super excited to tell him that I saw one of the prettiest, if not the only pretty, girl here.
" And you didn't get her number or snap?"
" I couldn't. It was all so fast." I said.
I grabbed the milk, poured it in before cleaning up a bit and moving to my room. Or somewhat room.
" You sleep here?"
" I chose this over sleeping with my baby cousins."
I slept in the basement. It was good privacy for certain things and i had my own space. Not to mention it was pretty big too.
" True. So what's the plans for tonight? Are we going out or..?"
" Well I do wanna go out and eat, but I'm not sure if my aunt needs help." I sighed.
He chuckled and grabbed the TV remote. I kept thinking about her through the day. She was beautiful. I couldn't not think about her you know?
Before I knew it it was 6:00 and I had fallen asleep. Tae was still her too, asleep beside me.
" Tae.. you should go home. The sun's going down." I said, sitting up.
He groaned and slowly sat up as well. I saw there was food on the end of my bed. Snacks.
" I don't think your aunt is all that bad." Tae said, standing up.
" She bought me this out of pity." I said, grabbing the bag.
Inside was different types of ramen, cookies and different juices. She did buy some chips I didn't like either which somewhat annoyed me.
" Here. I hate these." I said, throwing the spicy chips at Tae.
" I mean your only here for a couple weeks. Maybe don't be a dick to your aunt and you'll see she's not half as bad as you think."
" Bye Taehyung." I said, pushing him out.
I closed the door and flopped back onto my bed. I grabbed my phone and realized my mom had called me three times within the past hour.
" Jeez.." I mumbled.
I clicked on her name and patiently waited for her to respond.
" Now you call back."
" I was asleep mom." I said, grabbing the pineapple juice and opening it.
" Well I was just checking in... I know you don't like her wife but I think you should get a chance to talk to her."
" We don't even speak the same language mom." I sighed, switching on the TV and switching through channels.
I didn't pay much attention to my mom. She always said the same thing when it came to my aunt and her wife.
" Are you listening?"
" Yea.. yea I am."
She sighed before mumbling something.
" Jimin if you don't fix this attitude of yours I'll make sure that you stay there longer. And we both know the last thing you want is to spend your college break in a house as loud and messy as theirs."
" But mom-"
" No Park Jimin! You will go and help your aunt with cooking and have a meaningful conversation with her right now. I will check up on you every other day to see that you are in fact helping. Otherwise these two months you have off will be spent out there."
I groaned and stood from my bed.
" Fine fine. I'm going. "
" Thank you. I love you and I will talk to you later." She said.
" I love you too mom."
" Alright. I will see you later."
She hung up and i tossed my phone on the bed, moving towards the kitchen. The kids were watching TV an my aunt was in the kitchen.
" Where's Melli?" I asked.
My aunt jumped a bit before smiling softly.
" She's out right now. She'll be back before dinner." She replied, stirring the rice.
I hummed and looked around. It was awkward not gonna lie. I haven't seen her since Christmas last year. And even then it was a short period of time.
" Did you like the snacks? I tried to remember all the snacks you usually brought to parties to fill you up a bit before the party actually started." She asked, looking over her shoulder a bit.
" Yea I did. Thank you." I said.
She smiled just as her phone dinged. She looked down, tapping the screen after a few seconds and turned to me.
" I'm guessing your up here cause your mom huh?"
" W-well yea but I-"
" You don't gotta worry about helping cook. If you want, you can watch the kids. I feel like they wanna play instead of watching my reality show." She chuckled.
I hummed and nodded, making my way to the two kids.
" Hey guy.. wanna play?"
They both jumped up to me, clinging onto me.
" Jeez okay." I chucked.
I took them to the play room and brought out a few toys. I really enjoyed it. Yes they were annoying but I mean.. I'm sure I was at some point too.
We played for a bit before my phone dinged. I looked down and saw someone had followed me. I hummed and looked at the profile. Nothing. Must be new. I decided to follow back to wait and see who this person looked like.
" Guys! Dinner!"
We quickly made our way to the dinning room to which I quickly realized someone was missing.
" Where's Mellie..?"
My aunt smiled before handing me my bowl.
" Out still. She'll be back soon."
