There was no question about it—Sakura Haruno had to plan herself a way to get those two idiots back and tell them she has a their mark on her skin and get herself rejected, not just as a soulmate but as a friend as well, when they realized it's her are stuck with. Or she could just leave it be, pretend it didn't exist, move on with life.

Fuck it. Who was she kidding?

Of course she wanted to tell them.

It was like some sort of cosmic joke, making fun of Sakura as if the universe or whoever the hell was out there hadn't made Sakura suffer enough already. And she shouldn't be taking the bait—she really shouldn't.

But she couldn't stop herself.

Always impulsive, even after Kumo, Sakura knew she wouldn't be able to leave this alone.

And she was strong. She'd created several healing techniques, created poisons and antidotes which are nearly impossible to survive. Created them after three months of torture and pain. She kept herself alive for those two months and made her herself reach home while her lungs and heart was failing.

She could do this.

She had no idea where to even begin, but if anyone could figure something like this out… it would be her. Right?

She rolled her eyes. No, she wasn't arrogant at all.

Not one bit. She could handle this all by herself.

She was Haruno fucking Sakura, after all.

And she handled it.

She handled it right through the research. She handled it right through gathering different Information. She handled it through contacting multiple specialists and researchers, harassing them until they shared as much of their work. She handled it through Ino yelling at her for forty minutes straight for not telling her the wonderful news sooner—and then she handled it again for twice as long when Ino found out what her marks means and what exactly she planned to do about. She handled it as she locked herself in the lab for over sixty-eight hours—Ino and Kazuki forcing her to eat by unceremoniously dumping food on her work table before leaving just as quietly—and only had the barest of data to show for it when she stumbled to the lab's couch to sleep.

She handled it all the way through receiving a letter addressed to her.

"Dear Sakura-Chan,

How are you Sakura-chan? Teme and I are fine. Remember my promise to you? To bring Sasuke back? I'm coming home with him. Oh, And I loved that sweater you sent for my birthday. Speaking of birthday, Teme and I have a surprise for you. Now, he has no choice but to return to konoha with me.

I can't wait to see you again. It's already eight years. See you, Sakura-Chan. I love you!

Konoha's soon-to-be Hokage,
Uzumaki Naruto."

She handled it well. Or so she thought till she got the news of their arrival.
