I've known life outside the white room, I had one. It wasn't much that held onto me and pulled my heart strings when I would think about it. Not that I did anyway, I had a mother and went to school. Normal right? Well my mother was a sorceress, a great one so she was away often. A great big dark building is where she was among with others. A beautiful garden with huge pine trees. My mother wouldn't allow me to come, not that I needed to anyway. I had no reason to be there but I remember her particularly being gone for too long.

The academy I went to was to learn spells and such, the day of a big exam we had waited outside the gates. They didn't allow necklaces but my friend and I hid them under our uniform for good luck. We entered the gates, as our names were being checked off a messenger came with a slip. It was for me, immediately I had to attend it. The principal, he was a tall meaty old man, had just given us his welcome speech. "Tardiness is not allowed! You come tardy and you must undress to pledge full forgiveness! I do not tolerate such spiteful acts!" In a hurry I nodded and ran off under the umbrella of the messenger.

I don't ever remember where I went...but I remember being late. Everyone had already gone to take their exams, I made it into the main hall where the principal sat on his throne his eyes stabbing my own. "You're late." The guards dragged me up the steps leaving me sprawled on the floor right next to his throne. "Undress, you will learn."

My uniform was zipped down, I wasn't touched I'm sure. I don't remember what happened, if I passed my exam, who or where my friend went, but I do remember being upset about it that I ran to my mother.

The day I decided to go to the academy again, I had been blending into the shadows stamped onto the cold rock walls. Listening to their meeting they sounded frantic in hushed whispers. Before I could hide my mother came storming out, her golden hair in a rats nest tied back the velvet emerald green dress as crisp as it could be but her face...her nose was bright pink with blotched cheeks her brown eyes with angry veins. My mother gripped my shoulders tightly her eyebrows tightly furrowed, "I cant have anymore children I-" stuttering looking at the ground in complete despair. "I tried everything."

In a moments wind she was quick to her feet dragging me through the hallways outside. Standing in the garden she told me to go home. Then suddenly the wind picked up turning into violent roaring the wind knocked the poor flowers and plants down. A woman appeared from a blue portal finally the pine trees snapped to the floor onto mother. "Quick before she sees you!" She hid underneath the fallen tree I did too.

I turned to look at mother in panic, "I can see your fear." her eyes were wide.

"I see your fear." The woman said.

I too looked, my body was emitting a purple mist usually it wasn't too obvious but in that moment it was the brightest it could be. The woman flew towards me then suddenly it was quiet and I wasn't at the garden anymore.

The room was green, with plants all around. Someone else was in the room with me, a boy. He looked wild he'd been here longer than I have. He had nothing on but briefs, and I had nothing but undergarments. Yet I was comfortable, I didn't mind the image of bare bodies nor the presence. For days I remember he kept his space, the farthest he could be from me. He didn't speak to me nor did I to him, in silent we stayed in the green room for days.

Finally the same woman's voice rang through the room, "eat her" confused I stared at him. He made no reaction sitting down minding his business. I took time to drink his image in, dark brown hair and pale skin with a scrawny body.

I'd say we were around the same age, I was sixteen. My hair dark brown barley touching my shoulders, my skin beautifully sun kissed. I'd say we were around the same height too.

One day I was laying on my belly swinging my legs over the bed. The boy had come in, he sat on the corner of the bed then opened his mouth. His teeth had fallen out, leaving only a few he stared in horror at his cupped hand gingerly holding his teeth. He slowly crawled into the small space between the headboard and me, I stayed still not afraid but in confusion. Then I felt his hand softly rest on my lower back, in happiness that he did not hate me I jumped onto him. Hugging him tightly, I didn't feel alone in this odd mess anymore. None of our touches were sexual in any way, it was mere skin to skin contact.

He moved his other hand and held it above my head. I watched as his hand turned into a fist then he moved it in a slow up and down motion, somehow I was memorized by his fist then suddenly the edges my my vision turned dark before I could turn to look at him everything went dark.

And then...I woke up in the white room.
