Beau and I finished watching The Host and eating chocolate chip cookie ice cream before we talked again. We sat in silence for a few minutes while the credits rolled and we licked out the lid of the ice cream carton.
"Hey you wanna go swimming?"
"Beau it's like 28 degrees out there!"
"Polar bear swim!" She rushed upstairs to get her suit.
We swam for a while, paddling around just enough to avoid pneumonia. After about an hour, I couldn't take it anymore and pushed myself up to sit on the poolside.
Then I remembered the heater.
I rushed into the pool house and dialed the heater to 90 degrees. I sat on the waterproofed couch and watched some cartoons while waiting for the pool to heat. Beau joined me a few minutes later, shivering.
She looked at the tv and I realized.. I watch a lot of TV.. And eat a lot of food... And sit around a lot.... But I despise exercise...
Okay maybe Id still neglect exercise, and just get myself a life..Coming to this conclusion, I stood up and stretched, my long arms nearly brushing the hanging light fixture.
"I don't want to swim anymore. Let's go.... Uhhmm...," I began.
"Want to go play frisbee golf? Stacy has been telling me how her brother plays, and it's free and really fun!"
"Maybe," I said. "But afterward.. We should go job hunting. I need to do something with my life, plus mom and dad could use the help." Beau agreed enthusiastically and we went inside to change.
"But.. I don't have to get a job, do I?" Beau asked as we entered the house.

Frisbee golf really was fun. I lost my disc in the creek a few times, then almost my phone as I climbed down the banks to go get it.
After our game, we walked to the Lake, to get a smoothie and look for some open positions along the storefront.
We got about a two thirds of the way down, and none of the shacks had any availabilities.Beau and I sat down for a while, and talked about male actors and whatnot. Stacy found us. Crap, I thought.
"Oh my GOSH guys! Hi Shae!! You look FABULOUS. Beau, why'd you have to leave!? I've just been flirting since you left and there are SO MANY cute guys around here!"
Beau gave a forced smile, and sent me a pleading glance. I gave a sweet smile back to her with eyes that said in essence, "you do it."
"H-heyy Stacy.. I don't know if you heard, but they're hosting the Finnick O'Dair auditions in the next town over. They'll be over in a couple hours so if you want to see it you should probably leave now," Beau said with the most convincing concerned voice Id ever heard. Stacy thought for a moment, then smiled big and bounced off to go see the nonexistent auditions.
I looked at Beau for a second, the busted up laughing. She followed suit. "Where did you come up with that one!?" I asked through my tears.
"Oh I've been waiting to use that one since I met her. I knew that even though she's seen Catching Fire a billion times she's still think maybe they'd recast Finnick." I was having trouble breathing now. Wiping tears and clutching my stomach, I wasn't paying attention to what was happening around me.
Toad surprised me, hugging me from behind. I looked up at him and Beau fangirled silently, waving her hands around. He helped me get my makeup off my cheeks before sitting down and putting his arm around me. I reached up to hold the hand that was draping over my shoulder.
Then I saw a hand appear over Beau's shoulder and a guy with perfect hair sit down. Beau startled and twisted to look at her "assailant". She looked at me, eyes wide like they would be if she'd just dropped my new engagement ring down a storm drain.
I leaned over to see the guy's face and he turned it toward me. He gave me the most challenging smirk. No one said anything. Kade had left us all speechless.

Hey it's been fifteen chapters and you finally meet me, the author. Let me start with I'm fabulous, I live in Austin, Texas, I am really short, and very sorry I have taken so long to update. I have two college classes right now, and as a 17 year old that's a lot to take especially when one of said classes is college algebra. So my mind has been totally blank. I'm so happy I got this chapter out, I hope you all enjoy it! :)
