Noodles

Y/N decided to go with his best friend Chaeryeong to find somewhere to eat tonight. He decided they should go to the nearby noodle shop. They both sat there and talked as they ate. After they finished they decided to go on a little walk in the park.
"It's very pretty out tonight." Chaeryeong said.
"Yeah it really is."
"I loved the city lights being lit up. It makes it feel so cozy out even on a chilly night."
"Are you cold?"
"Just a bit."
Y/N sighed. "You can just say so next time." He removed his jacket and placed it over her shoulders.
"You didn't have to." She laughs lightly but smiling.
"It's fine I don't mind the cold."
They kept walking until they came across a little dock. The moon was out now and shining. It was beautiful.
They walked out on the dock towards the end of it. The water had such a pretty reflection from the sky.
"It feels like I'm looking at a painting it's so pretty." Chaeryeong said.
"It's really pretty." Y/N said but his eyes were glued to Chaeryeong and not the scene in front of them. He could see it reflected in her eyes which was more beautiful to him than the sky.
"Hey Chae, do you know why I decided on the noodle place tonight?"
"Because you were hungry Mrs. Kim's famous noodles." She laughed.
"Haha very funny and slightly true."
"Then what's the real reason?" She said with a smile looking towards Y/N.
He sighed and looked up at the sky.
"Well it's because you remind me of noodles."
"Noodles? Wow what a lovely comparison."
"What? It's not a compliment to you?" Y/N smirked.
"No not really. What are you saying that I'm thin and flimsy like a noodle? Out of all foods to compare someone to and noodle isn't the most flattering."
"Should I explain what I mean."
"I'm not sure if I'll like it but go ahead."
"Noodles once cooked are very soft and more flimsy. You have been like that to me. When we first met you were a bit cold but once I got to see you more you become a very sweet person. I don't know if flimsy is the best word but you are kind of flexible if that makes sense. What I mean is you aren't strict and are willing to hear the other person's side. You are never harsh and judge mental. Instead you listen to people, you hear them out and are willing to talk to them. You make people comfortable and are there to listen to them and hear what they have to say before judging. It's very nice to have someone like that."
She smiled and looked down at the dock. Y/N looked over at her and gave a little smile.
"You might not like being compared to a noodle but it's not just how a noodle is it's the thought of one. Don't you remember that shop? It's where we first ran into one another, literally. And I bought you noodles to make up for spilling your other food. We talked while you enjoyed your meal. That's how we got to know one another. And now whenever I think about noodles that memory of meeting you comes to mind. You can't leave my mind Chae."
"That's a lot sweeter than what I was expecting to hear." She smiled looking down and rubbing her arm.
"What were you expecting?" He smirked.
"Oh nothing! Just not that, but I like hearing that much more." She looked at Y/N with a soft smile.
Her eyes were shining so brightly with the moonlight against her.
She was stunning.
"Chae, we've been best friends for awhile now and you make me really happy. I'm glad we met at the noodle shop."
"I'm glad as well."
"But I just need to tell you that my feelings for you have developed beyond friendship. I don't know if you wanna hear this next part but I have to say it. Chae I really like you. You make me happy more than anyone and seeing you smile lights up my whole world. I wanna be with you because you make my days brighter and I can't hide this forever so I'm saying it now. Chaeryeong you are the most stunning and beautiful person in the world and I truly like you."
She couldn't believe what she was hearing. He was so sweet. So serious but calm. So tender even as he was anxious.
"You're so cute. Y/N I really like you as well."
"So does that mean you will let me take you on a date?"
"Hmm that depends. Will you stop comparing me to a noodle then?"
"What? I thought you liked it? It was supposed to be cute."
"It was cute." She laughed.
"Yeah that's what I thought. You know I love to eat noodles too and they are my favorite so why would it not be a compliment?"
"Are you saying you wanna eat me?" She smirked.
"That's not what I intended for it to mean. But I'm not opposed to that."
"What's that supposed to mean?" She laughed a bit.
Y/N leaned in his face close to her. Their faces only centimeters apart.
"Maybe a taste of you wouldn't be so bad." He whispered lightly staring down at her lips.
She pushed him a bit.
"Don't phrase it that way."
He smiled and pulled her face closer to his. Wrapping his other hand around her waist. He pressed his lips onto hers. She kissed him back and placed her arms around his neck. Y/N deepened the kiss and made it very passionate.
After a few minutes they pulled back to catch their breath.
They both shyly looked at each other and then smiled.
Y/N leaned in more and whispered in her ear.
"My noodle"
