"Alright, to the lungs!" AE3803 told herself as she gripped the handle on her cart and began to walk. She made a turn. Then another turn.
And another turn.
And yet another turn.
"You can't come through here!" a Killer T Cell yelled at her from a third-story window.
"I'm sorry!!!" she yelled back as she did the fastest 180 turn ever known and began to run.
After walking around for a while longer, she came to an intersection and thought to make a turn. As she was pushing her cart, she felt the ground shake beneath her then suddenly she was thrown back several yards and hit the ground hard. She looked up in shock to see a group of horrid-looking blue bacteria coming out from the hole in the ground. "How lovely the conditions are up here," the bacteria closest to her said, "time for us to take over this body. But first, we have to get rid of all its residents!"
Red Blood Cell felt paralyzed where she was even though she heard someone scream, "HEY! GET OUT OF THERE! RUN!" from behind her. She sat there frozen and unable to move. Just then, the horrid creature closest to her lunged. All she could do was raise her arms, cover her face, and scream. She prepared herself for the punctures.... but they never came.
Suddenly, a white figure came in between her and the blue monster and the white figure stabbed the monster with a white knife. She looked up to see a group of cells dressed from head to toe in white uniforms, all of them viciously fighting back and killing the blue bacteria. Just as fast as the bacteria burst through the vessel, they were killed by the white blood cells. "This is White Blood Cell U-1146, all of the bacteria that invaded the area have been taken care of," he spoke over the two-way radio. Red Blood Cell looked in awe at how quickly they have handled the situation, but she hadn't realized that she was still on the ground. She must have been staring really hard because the cell said over his shoulder, "What are you looking at? Can I help you?"
Her eyes widened from his tone, quickly replying, "O-oh nothing, I'm sorry," before bowing from her spot. She looked back up and finally stood up from the ground saying, "Thank you very much for saving me from the danger I was in,"
White Blood Cell replied, "I'm just doing my job, no need to thank me" his expression not changing from his serious, stern expression one. As he looked up at the cell that thanked him, he saw her big copper-colored eyes. He quickly added, "I mean, you're welcome," as he tipped his hat.
Red Blood Cell was now back to trying to find her way to her destination. She came across a hallway with lots of doors, many, many doors. "Maybe I can ask someone around here for help to find the lungs," she thought to herself. Regardless of the many doors, there weren't any other people around. She knocked on a door numbered 'Storage 7' and when she heard no response, she opened the door slowly. "Um, excuse me," she said. But to her horror, she did not find a fellow red blood cell or any other working cell.... she found a familiar blue monster staring back at her. She awkwardly closed the door once again and tried to make a run for it, but suddenly the monster came crashing through the wall next to her.
"Don't act like nothing happened!" the monster yelled at her. Red Blood Cell made a run for it and kept running from one hallway to another. By this time the monster was not only chasing her but now that other cells were in sight, she was not the only cell in danger. The bacteria lunged at her once again and she fell to the ground after bumping into a set of crates as she rounded a corner. She heard other cells screaming and running in all directions. A familiar white figure came running towards them and as he brought out his beloved knife, he raised his arm into a striking position, ready to slice. "I found you, you damn germ!"
