Alyiah Vernasa is running for her life. She has no idea what's happening, only that they were after her. She had just woken up from the strangest dream, with all kinds of their symbols and voices, but weirdly, she could understand them. They were saying something about the electi. The chosen. The ones they told children about to scare them. She woke this morning with energy crackling around her, and ever since weird has been following her.. or was she causing it? That doesn't matter now, she needs to run. She turns a corner in the city, energy blasting behind her. They even have ships in the air looking for her, she couldn't help but wonder what they thought she had done. The one time she tried to stop to talk to them they almost blasted her head off. She turns another corner and her heart drops, a dead end. She has no other routes, they are on her tail. She runs toward the end hoping for a miracle. The color is fading from the world. Ships swoop down, their blasters charging. They run toward her, weapons aimed and He is behind them. As soon as they all fire, the world stops. It's black and white. There's an explosion of energy erupting all around her. And suddenly, she's in the middle of a road, with an equally large explosion around her, and a burning SUV on the side of the road. But something is weird; the sky is blue, then she wakes up.

Five years ago...

She had the same dream most nights, of the fateful day she left Aesteria arrived on this planet. She still wasn't absolutely sure what had happened. One thing she was sure of was that she was lucky. After some looking around, she realized she was in a place called Angel Fire, New Mexico on a planet called Earth. It was a small place, but she decided that was probably for the better.

She was scared of approaching any of the natives for awhile though, so she spent almost a month living in the woods near town hunting. It wasn't the best life, but at least she was alive. Then one day, as she was tracking a deer through the woods, she was discovered by an older gentleman who was also hunting in the woods. She started to run, but he made it clear he wasn't aggressive. He introduced himself as Thomas Hamilton, and he apparently ran the local diner in town. He offered her a job there and a place to stay in his home, as he could tell from looking at her that she was living in the woods. After weighing her options, she decided it was her best bet at having a new life here.

After about a month of living and working with him, she began to trust him and finally decided to tell him about her past. He was surprisingly casual about it, and started teaching her about customs and behaviours of people on this planet. They decided they would tell people that she was his daughter, because there had been a few questions about the new face in the diner. She finally felt safe again, and honestly, this wasn't a bad place to call home.

. Things were normal for almost the next five years, aside from the occasional weird things happening around her, but most of it she blew off. That is, until the anniversary of her arrival. She woke up in the middle of the night, electricity crackling between her fingertips, no, all over her. Tom ran in and just stood there helplessly. She screamed as a pulse of energy erupted from her and swept the town, then collapsed. She woke the next morning to Tom cooking her breakfast. He explained that after checking to make sure she was okay, he drove around town to see if anything happened with that pulse and noticed some strange stuff, and that she might need to lay low for a while. Despite this, it was Tuesday, and the diner got busy for all day breakfast on Tuesdays, so they headed to work.
