Great today is my first day of school.I can finally leave this prison,I'm so happy I could cry.I got ready as quick as I can. I ran down grabbing my breakfast and out the door. I stood on the on the porch. I breathed in and out.

"Today is going to be a great day."

I walked to the bus stop, no on was there.I checked my phone for the time.

"Oh my god I'm fifteen minutes early."

"Welp I gotta deal with it, I'm not going back home."

About three minutes, I heard music in the distance,was it one of kids on my street? As the music got loud I saw a guy with black hair I think he's the same age as me. I got up from the ground and walked towards him.

"Uhm hello."

He didn't hear me.

"Uhm hello!"

The kid finally opened his eyes and looked at me. He stared at me.I started to get uncomfortable.

"Uhm hi i'm Sandra."

"Hi..."

His voice was surprisingly deep.

"Are you a freshman?"

"Yeah why you ask?"

"Cause i'm a freshman too."

"Oh... by the way my name Derek."

"Derek, well that's a nice name."

He didn't speak he just stared at me, does he think i look bad? Oh my god what if he does. I only wore a overalls skirt and a t-shirt.

"Why are you staring me,its kinda scary."

"Oh uhm sorry about that you're just really pretty..."

"Thank you and, you're really handsome."

Oh my god does this dude have a crush on me.

"Oh thanks I guess," he said while laughing.

"Do you wanna be friends?"I asked.

"Sure why not."

"Great,anyways I have a favor to ask you."

"What is it?"

"Since I'm new could you show me around please?"

"Sure I was going to skip class anyways."

"Oh my god really that's so generous of you."

"No biggie its friends are for,"Derek said while winking.

"Dude you're weird, I like it." I said with a big smile.

Derek cover his face trying not to laugh. He seems like a nice guy I'm pretty sure in the future he wouldn't mind that I'm lesbian...right?  

A few minutes later the bus arrived.As we got on the bus was crowded and loud. When we found a seat a girl infront of us turn around.

"Oh my god I love your hair, sunflowers is totally a good look on you."the girl said.

 "May could you shut up for once."Derek said.

"How rude its not my fault the new girl is cute."

"Dude you know you already have a girlfriend so you don't need another one."

"Wait you're lesbian?"I asked.

"No I'm pan but good guess."

"Wait really that's so cool."

"I know I am very cool, I'm even cooler than Derek."

"HEY,I'm cooler than you retard."Derek said.

"Ah!How dare you call me a retard prettyboy."

"I take that as a complement,thank you very much."

"Go die in a hole Derek."

"Gladly."

"Please don't die you still need to show me around,"I said under my breathe.

"Oh yeah I totally forgot about that."

"I WANT TO SHOW YOU AROUND TOO!"May yelled.

"S-sure more the merrier."

"Dude I thought you were gonna meet up with your girlfriend today?"said Derek.

"Oh yeah about that,I found out she was cheating on me with a guy but, worst part is she told me she was lesbian."

"Damn that's harsh."

"But I really don't care though,somehow another girl or boy is gonna ask me out.

" Lucky I'm the only unattractive one here..."I mutter.

"What you Sandra,"Derek asked.

"Its nothing to worry about."

"Ok then."

Why am I even friends with these people.Derek looks like he's in a boy band and May looks like a super model.But I look like a girl from the country. Should i just tell them not to hangout with me anymore,they probably wouldn't care either way.

"So your name is Sandra?"May asked.

"Mhm."

"Sandra means defender of man."

"Woah how did you know that?"

"Well with my spare time I like to write meanings of names in my journal."

"Thats so cool, what's Derek's?"

"Derek means gifted ruler but I prefer a total retard."

"Huh Derek doesn't look like it though."

"I know right but,it is what it is."

"Oh we're here."

I looked outside of the window, the school was huge.It was like a mansion but, the coolest part is that its four stories high. All I hope is that somehow this year I will get a girlfriend.

"Woah."I said.

"Mhm this is Ridgetin High the best school in the state."May said.

"Plus they have elevators."Derek blurted.

"I guess wont be that bad then."

"Oh it will be bad."Derek said.

"What do you mean?"

"The teachers are monster and the people in this school are filthy rich."

"How is this a public school then?"

"I don't even know man."

"Can you two stop talk and get off the bus."May said.

"Coming!"we both yelled.

Im probably gonna miss first period but its worth it.

"Where to first?"May asked.

"I really don't care I just want to see the school"I said with a big smile.
