Chapter 17

**Kristians P.O.V.**

I'm currently in the car with Kyler's mom.  I have to say its kind of awkward. I mean shes really nice. But since i don't talk its just silent.  Plus i already miss Kyler even though I just left.  She said she wanted to take me out to spend some time with me and get to know me a little better.  Though I'm not sure how she would get to know me more when I can't even talk to her.  But it is nice that she still wants to try.  Even though I haven't know her long shes basically the closest thing I'll ever have to a real mother and it feels so good to finally be able to think of another person that way but it also scares me some because I'm afraid that her and Kyler will just leave me in the end and I don't know if I could handle that.  I just hope that never happens. 

The first place we stopped at was a small store that basically sold a little bit of everything.  

"Wait here.  I'll be right back I just have to get something real quick." She said smiling.  I nodded and she quickly got out of the car and went inside.  A few minutes later she returned with a bag and handed it to me. 

"I thought this might make it easier for you to talk to."  she said softly smiling.  I slowly opened the bag and smiled a little.  It was a small dry erase board with a purple and lime green striped border, my favorite colors.  I didn't know she knew that.  On the back it had slots to hold the markers and a slot with an eraser in it.  She also got me a few packs of diffrent colored markers.  I opened one of the packs and got out a purple marker and wrote thanks and turning it to her so she could see.  

"You're welcome.  I figured you'd like to have different colors so i got a few different packs." she said.  I smiled and nodded.  After that we left and went to a small cafe.  We picked a booth in the back and I quickly picked out my order and wrote it down so she could tell the waiter.  Surprisingly i was really hungry.  I've started to eat a lot more than i ever have before but it's still less than most people.  But for me it's a huge improvement.   Soon our food came and I quickly starting eating it.  It was really good.  Kyler's mom and I started talking for a while well not me talking just using my board.  I will say it was a lot easier than using paper or some type of phone to talk.  It was nice i got to know her better and she got to know me better.

**Kyler's P.O.V.**

I had texted Ella right before Kristian and my mom left and she arrived about 2 minutes later.  How she got here so fast I don't know but that didn't matter.  She brought the cake which looked really awesome, she also brought balloons and many other party decorations all in purples and greens since that was Kristian's favorite colors.  I had her get them because if I did he could have seen them and it would have ruined the whole surpised.  We quickly started decorating the house with streamers, balloons, and other random things.  We also put up a big banner that me and Ella made in one of our classes that said "Happy Birthday Kristian" with random doodles including a chihuahua riding a llama with a rainbow sword that Ella for some reason thought was an important addition to the banner.  I really don't get her but I love her, well as a friend.  Soon we were done and it looked great.  I couldn't wait for him to see this.  I was so excited.  Lastly we put his gifts on a little side table and I text my mom to tell her everything was ready.

"So what do you have planned after this?" Asked Ella.

"Well first the carnival we can just get on rides and play games as long as he wants.  Plus i want to win him a stuffed animal even though that is kind of cheesy.  Then I thought I would take him to this cliff I always go to that has a great view and just make it all romantic and hopefully things will just go good from there.  I hope tonight is the night we finally start dating." I said blushing.  

"Awwwwe. That is so sweet.  I hope you guys get together to you definetely belong together.  You're like the perfect couple." she said smiling.

I just pray everything goes smoothly.  I'm so nervous.

**Kristian's P.O.V.**

Things have been going great so far.  We went to a few shops and checked out a few other places I had a better time than I thought I would.  Now we were on our way back home and i was glad because I really missed Kyler.  I couldn't wait to get back.  The drive back was silent but not awkward this time.  The weird thing is Kyler's mom seemed just as anxious to get back as me and had this huge smile on her face.  Maybe she just really missed Kyler.  I don't know.  Finally we got there and i practically jumped out of the car and hurried to the door and started knocking.

"Someones excited to be back." She said smiling.  I blushed and looked down.  Kyler still hadn't opened the door but it didn't matter because she started unlocking it and let me go in first.  As soon as i walked in Kyler and Ella jumped out screaming suprise and scared the hell out of me.  I looked around and got a huge smile on my face.  I know I said it wasn't a big deal but I can't even explain how much this meant to me.  They really went all out for this now I know why Kyler's mom was so excited to get home all this was so they could set up this party for me.  I hugged Kyler's mom and quickly walked over and hugging Ella and then walked over to Kyler hugging him to but longer than Ella and his mom.  I finally let go even though I didn't want to.  I got the board Kyler's mom got me and wrote "thank you so much this means a lot to me" and showed it to them.  I actually started getting tears in my eyes because I was just so happy at the moment.  No one had ever done this much for me before.

They led me to the Kitchen where I saw a huge, and I mean huge pile of presents.  I could'nt believe they got me that much.  They really didn't need to but I was really excited to open them.  Then I saw the cake and it was also huge.  It was three layers tall and covered with purple icing with lime green on the edges with lime green candles.  

(A/N yeah I kind of have a weird obsession with those colors lol.)

After eating some of the cake it was time to open the gifts.  Kyler's mom got me some new clothes a few cds and a new phone.  It was one of the really expenisive phones. Ella also got me some cds and a  few band shirts. Even though it was nice I wish they would'nt have spent this much on me. I really loved all the stuff they got me though.  Kyler's gift was definetely my favorite.  It was a new sketchpad with really nice art pencils and then a scrapbook of all the photos of me, him, and Ella.  and there was more space for me to add other photos .  The part I really liked was that he made bigger copys of the photos me and him took at the photo booth.  This has so far been the best birthday I ever had.   Everything in my life was pretty much perfect and nothing could take the smile off my face.

Don't worry his birthday isn't over yet just did't have time to write it been dealing with family stuff and thats why this update is late sorry I know I promised but we found out my dad has cancer and just yeah... its been hard I got a phone though no minutes yet hopefully soon and then I wont have to worry about getting near wifi
