I feel hooves strangle my arms and I scream. I was sleeping in bed a moment or two ago, yet now I'm in a lock with a stallion. Half awake, eyes heavy, world spinning.

"What... Is going on!" I shout. The stallion pulls me out of my small bed and throws me on the floor, knocking the wind out of me. My head hurts.

I expect to see a tough guy staring me down. Instead his soft green eyes are frightened and he whispers, "It really is you."

"...what..?" I can't process what is going on. There is another stallion behind me that I can't see. "Why-"

"Take her to the asylum! Now! I'll fill out the papers!" I hear a gruff voice bark. I make out a gray body and I realize it's my "father". My mother is next to him with an evil glare that could melt gold. Red on the floor. Red everywhere.

I now hate red.

"What is going on! TELL ME!" I scream and my throat aches. The hidden pony steps into vision. He's white with a combed gray and yellow mane, with little spectacles placed on his nose.

"We'll take her, sir. Please calm yourse-"

"GET HER OUT OF THIS HOUSEHOLD! SHE IS NOT MY DAUGHTER! GET. HER. OUT!"

I've been laying on the ground. My eyes are now used to the light and I focus on my hooves. I don't bother trying to run- there are too many ponies guarding me.

"Sorry, Miss Pinkamena Diane Pie."

Is that my name? Weird. It's strange, really, that I can't really remember anything before right now-

A needle plunges into my neck and I yell. My hoof touches the place I've been injected and I feel liquid. It's neon blue.

I feel numb and my world goes dark.

"Pinkamena?"

It was a dream.

No- it was all too real.

"Pinkamena can you hear me?"

"Yes," I mumble. I'm between being awake and being asleep. Finally I grasp onto reality and a blinding light hits me.

My head swings side to side as I am pushed through a set of doors. I freak at the belts securing me firmly to the stretcher.

"Hi, Miss Pie." There is a mare in a white hat trotting besides me.

"Hello." What am I saying?

"Okay, she's good." What.

The stallion pushing me stops by a window. In front of me is a set of doors without handles. "Key," the pony in the office demands. I see a hoof take out a card and the doors open.

I don't remember breathing.

Down a corridor, left, left, right, straight. Finally, I'm pushed into a room. It looks like a hospital room yet with no bed. I hear a click and the next thing I know is I feel a dull ache in my neck again.

Eyelids heavy.

Fight it, Pinkamena. Fight it.

Darkness takes over.
