7:05 AM

Sun rising from the horizon,

remnants of the cold morning dew on my window,

birds chirping happily outside,

I breathe in the smell of freshly brewed coffee as I watch the breathtaking scene in front of me unfold.

Ha.

No shit.

I shake my head as the realization of where I really am started to hit me.

So much for a good dream.

I heave a sigh of displeasure.

Scrambling to my feet, I manage to get out of my room alive, after tripping over my slippers and nearly knocking the life out of myself when I nearly bumped into the door frame.

Okay maybe I'm still a little bit sleepy.

I take a deep breath as I made a bee line, more like a zig-zag line with a few more tripping along the way, towards the kitchen.

"Damn. What the hell is wrong with me?" I mumbled to myself.

Not impressed with how this morning constituted, I made myself a cup of coffee and prepared a bowl of fruits for breakfast in dire attempt to brighten up my morning.

At least I can eat something decent to wake up my senses and not appear dead the whole day while i'm in school.

Thank the heavens it's friday, by far mt most favorite day of the week. Tomorrow I can sleep in and not get woken up by my annoying alarm clock which is a reminder of yet again another dreadful day in school.

I can't believe I managed to get through high school and yet find my self in college and still struggling to get my as$ up from bed every morning.

Meditating for a moment, revoking both my thoughts and senses.

I took a whiff of the calming scent of my first cup of coffee for the day, internally letting out a groan of satisfaction as the caffeine saturate my palate.

This day will still not be bad as it started.

3:28 PM

"Hi, can I get a cup of iced coffee with double whipped cream please."

"Sure."

Coffee once again fills my senses as I get my hands on my drink.

My eyes wander around the room as I spot an empty seat near the windows.

Bless me.

I skipped towards the direction and placed my things on the table. I was glad my professor let us out early today after a one hour lecture, being the compassionate man that he is, he told us to work with our essays wherever and whenever.

As I soon as I took a sip of heaven, my second cup of coffee, I didn't waste any time before rereading notes and started working.

I've always been the type to do everything done as soon as I can, not because I'm conscious about my grades or anything like that, I just want to get the stress of things off of my head instead of laying around and just mentally solving my problems without getting anything done. That's not how reality work folks.

Minutes. Hours.

Time pass by as I continuously type on the keyboard of my computer. Every once in a while taking a pause from comprehending a certain topic before going back to writing.

Just. A. Few. More. Sentences.

And...

Done!

I sent my files to my professors and I sigh happily, stretching my back and mentally pat myself.

Great job!

Now I can go home, eat dinner, read a book and sleep peacefully in the warm covers of my bed with no interruption the next morning.

I place everything back inside my black leather bag, checking the time on my watch.

5:06 PM

Not bad.

I went out of the cafe, my eyes shifting towards the direction of the sky. I smile as pink and orange hues streak the horizon.

I walk in the direction of my apartment, soft music playing in my airpods. I don't have to walk that long, just only a few minutes and the area and the streets aren't really that crowded, plus, walking can benefit me too.

When I arrive at my building, I went up to my floor, opening the door and welcoming myself to the warmth and comfort of my home.

Rosy scent with a mix of cookies, what? I can't help that I love cookies so much, just the way i like it. I went to my room, dropping my things on my table as I changed into comfortable clothes. Pulling on a loose white shirt and some cotton shorts.

College sure is so stressful. I wrap my hair up in a bun at the same time contemplating whether to do Yoga or serve myself a piece or two of my cookies.

I chose the latter.

I find myself walking towards the kitchen, watching as bits of sunlight filled the apartment, the big windows allowing the light to come through.

I smile to myself getting captured by natures beauty.

It is indeed breathtaking.

This is really one of my favorite things.

The little things that makes me happy.

And I can't help but think that everything that the sun touches instantly turns beautiful and magical.
