If you don't already know, my name's Isabella Elizabeth Ramirez, and I'm 18. I graduated from high school not too long ago, and I live with my parents. Most of the time I just watch YouTube and chill, but lately my parents have been getting on my back to starting looking at colleges. I know they want the best for me and all, but I don't really want to go to college. Sure it looks good on a resume, but I just don't think it's right for me. It costs a lot of money, and I'm the type of person that changes their minds a lot. But even though my parents know this, they still nag me to apply.
One day I actually kind of wanted to. I looked at some colleges, and found one I could live with, but me, being how I am, the next day I decided I didn't want to all of a sudden. My parents did not take this well. It was bad enough I said I didn't wanna go, but it was even worse to make them think I was actually going to go. Then we got this into this huge fight about it. Me being stupid, I decided to leave the house for good. To show them that I could get a good job without having to go to college. This was both a curse, and a blessing.
I then started to pack my clothes and all I could fit in a travel bag. It was sad leaving my home that I lived in for so long, but it was the best thing I could do. My parents would never leave me alone if I stayed. I had to go somewhere other than here. So when I finished packing my junk, I took my bag, and the money I had saved from working at Burger King, and I left, leaving my parents, my home, and my childhood.
