SAVED FROM CAMP

Chapter 1: Gavin

At midnight a boy at bed is typing at his phone.
"Hi my name is Gavin Styles, you might know me from gym class."
"Hi ,yeah i do remember you."
"I really like you, What to meet up?"
"Sure ,lets meet in la Casa Cafe at around 10 in the morning."
" See you there!"
Gavin who is excited for tomorrow jerked his hand into his forehead trying to fall asleep. Minutes gone by into hours and he is still not sleeping. He go to the bathroom to wash his face . When he's at the bathroom , Vannesa texted.
"I can't meet up tomorrow"
After the message a text in all capital letters appeared. NUMBER BLOCKED.
Gavin goes straight back into his room and seen the notification flash at his cellphone. He read the message and his face turn into a frown. After he throw his phone at his red cushion beside his bed. Then he fell asleep.

He woke up in a big banging in his door, his mother is waking him up saying "Gavin wake up , you're gonna be late for your father's speech ." Gavin's father who's name is Marlin is the mayor of the City. As Gavin rising from his bed , he felt  little urge to touch  his phone, in order to look at the message from last night. He said to himself "What if I go to the cafe?".
Quickly he jumped out of his bed and grabed some white polo shirt and black slacks and went into the bathroom. While at the bathroom he sings a song.

He finishes his shower and went with his mother in their car to drive in the town hall to hear Marlin's speech. While driving at the first street he saw a lady with a red hair ear piercing and black mascara at the local grocery store. He notices that , the lady je was gazing at is Vannesa from gym class. He waved at her but Vannesa ignored. Her mother continue to drive and while driving she ask Gavin.
"Who is that lady  that you waves your hand with?"
"A friend from school" "a honour student" he added. His mother is quite suprised that a girl thats looked like a hulugan can be a honour student.

Minutes passed by and they reached the town hall. Marlin is already gibing his speech. Both of them rush out of their car and seat in front to hear the speech. The speech is all about what he did in the city like lowering taxes , giving jobs etc. There at the audience he saw Vannesa pointing to the comfort room. Then Vannesa left her seat and go to the comfortroom. Gavin followed her and when he opened the door, Vannesa grab him in the shoulder and said to him. " I'm into girls" she said it with soft and slowly voice. " I'm sorry if I blocked your number". Vannesa added.

Gavin was not shocked of what just he heard . He smiled at Vannesa and hug her but Vannesa push him away and she went out of the comfort room . He followed her and they end up outside the town hall. Vannesa muttered "Don't tell anyone , I'm not yet out"
" I won't." Gavin said
"My parents are homophobics and if they find out about this , they will disown me" Vannesa said with grudge and sadness in her eyes.
