Dipper's eyes shot open after he was knocked out by Bill.
His head filled with fuzz as he stood up abruptly and he started to sway. Damn iron deficiency, he cursed in his head. He hadn't eaten a real meal or clean water in days.
Once the fogginess cleared away, his eyes finally began to focus. He was in a dark room. Well, it looked like a bedroom. A real bedroom, but it still looked like a part of the Fearamid.
The walls were a dark red and there were glowing gold cracks, built like a brick wall. There was a bed. And a nightstand with a lamp on top of it—no outlet of course, why would there be an outlet plug in the Fearamid, anyway—and a dresser, even a fireplace. From Bill, he'd expected the bed to be made out of living skin or something, but it was real.
He ran his hand across the blue cotton comforter and patted one of the feather pillows. This was oddly considerate, giving that this was from Bill Cipher.
He lifted his hand from the bed and looked around the room. There wasn't a window anywhere so he didn't really know where in the Fearamid he was, but he was sure he could find out later. Probably.
Said dresser was the same brick-like style as the walls of the room. There was nothing on top of it and he didn't bother looking inside. He sidestepped the dresser and turned on the lamp on the nightstand next to it instead, lighting up the whole room bright yellow.
Dipper's eyes had to adjust for a moment, glad to be rid of most of the the ominous dark red. He turned to the fire place. He didn't know how to start a fire and he didn't have any magic or anything, so it was just there. There was a (normal) red and orange and yellow carpet in front of it and little cushions to sit on, even though he knew he would be the only one to use them.
Next to the fireplace was a door that was slightly ajar, leading to a smaller, darker room. He walked up to it and realized that it was a bathroom. He fumbled around the wall and found a string that turned on the vanity lights above the wide mirror. He saw a sink, a shower, even an extra bathtub, and a toilet. And it looked nice. He felt like he was in Pacifica Northwest's mansion again. Everything was warm-colored, but mostly white and yellow.
Surprise overtook everything he was feeling: why would Bill go all out for a bedroom and a bathroom?
Speaking of the devil, literally, a bright white light that suggested Bill had teleported in his room made Dipper just want to hide but yell in anger at the same time. The panic from earlier that rose in his chest didn't rise for himself, but for his family.
Where were they?
Were they okay?
Were they safe?
Dipper's fingers where still curled around the string that turned on the lights when Bill found him.
"Ah, Pine Tree," Bill said, his voice a little too loud as usual, "found the bathroom, I see! You should thank me. I pay attention to your little human needs."
"Where is my family," he said instead and fought down that rising panic in his chest. "Don't I deserve to know how you're holding up your side of the deal?"
Bill gave him an unamused look. "Your family and the rest of your friends from the zodiac are safe, don't worry. I even fixed up your house for you! They're there right now, safe from harm. See? Considerate!"
