Please take note that I do not live in Japan and am not well versed on what it's like to live there/what the culture is like. This fic is based on the small amount of research I've done, things directly from the anime, and things I made up myself. Don't take this as an accurate representation of what life in Japan is like.

This is also not canonically accurate! I have taken creative liberty wherever I saw fit so if you see something that is inaccurate to the anime, don't feel the need to point it out because I already know lol.

Another thing I feel like I should mention. Because it's considered polite in Japan to use people's surnames names rather than their first name unless you know them well, the names used for the characters vary depending on the point of view. From Tetsurō's point of view, he is referred to as Tetsurō and refers to the love interest by her surname, Yamazaki. From the love interest's point of view, she is referred to as Rini and refers to Tetsurō as Kuroo. I hope it won't be too confusing 🤠
