"Daddy!" A blond boy runs to his father, throwing his backpack on the ground as he hugs him, smiling when he feels his hair being nuzzled

"Hey, Chris! How's your arm?" William kisses his youngest forehead, holding him by his cheeks

"I'm getting used to it really quick! It's nice to have two arms back!" Chris looks at his mechanic arm, moving it easily

"That's great..." The man ruffles his child's hair "Now, get your backpack and let's head inside" the boy did as he was told, taking his backpack off the grass and heading back inside the lonely shack between the trees

Chris glaces on a little pile close to his home, there were metal parts scattered around, he could swear he saw an eye in there, not a robotic one, it looked too human to be fake, he shivers, following his father inside

"Why don't you go take a nap, bud? You look tired" With that, the teen yawls, like the man had controlled his mind to feel tired, he surely knew him well, right?

"I will" the blond smiles, rubbing his eyes as he gets even more tired "Love you, daddy!" He hugs his father, running upstairs once he releases from him, William waited a few minutes

"Report status:C.A.A - Upper hall, test room 2" The man says to the nothing, his loving expression turning to a serious one

"Subject C.A.A located successfully - C818919, known as Christopher Alexander Afton, located on test room 2" A voice echoed through the room "scanning subject"

"Hope that little shit gave up already, so I can lock that place from Christopher" William whispers to himself, crossing his arms

"Reporting status: subject C.A.A - C818919 is currently asleep on test room 2" The voice returned, making the man nod and start heading outside and around the house, once inside the warehouse, he stops at a door, putting his hand on it, he smiles, soon turning to the papers inside an organizer, taking the first out, the only one that mattered now, a memory that his child, hopefully, wouldn't have to pass through anymore

William puts the paper back to it's place, it was a tough time for the child, getting injected with remnant almost everyday, it was the only way he found of putting his soul back together

"Report clinical status:C.A.A - Remnant side effects, bruises or mental symptoms" The man walks up to the second door, looking breafly at his elder son's file, being sick of just seeing that stupid paper

"Reporting clinical status: subject C.A.A - No remnant side effects, no bruises located and no mental symptoms" The voice returned, once it was gone again, the man got inside the room and locks the door behind him, looking at the man sitting on the floor and staring at the wall

"Still fighting, Terrence?" Michael looks at him, his bloodshot eyes twitching from anger

"I'll always fight against you" The older man sighs, walking close to him

"You're remnant doses ended a while ago, so no more injections are touching your skin for a good time" William crouches at his side, tilting his head and smiling a little

"Good, am I free to go?" The younger man feels tears filling his eyes

"Only if you give up" Michael groans, turning to the wall again

"Then, I'm staying here" The father sighs, patting his head as he gets up

"Well, me and Chris are waiting for you" William turns to leave

"Chris...? My brother...?" The older man looks at his elder son over his right shoulder

"Yes, your little brother" the father simply says, making Michael look heartbroken "Don't worry, he didn't forget you"

"How can I see him again?!" The older sibling asks in despair, getting up from his sitting spot, making William sigh, walking up to him and putting a hand on his shoulder

"You just need to perish"
