If only I could shove a whole pack of cotton balls in my nose, I will do it in a heartbeat. My runny nose tests my patience and now I'm afraid that I'm losing a lot lately.
"Be sure to take your medicine!" Aunt Daisy singsonged before going out of my room.
I hummed to answer her but it turned out to be a groan—more like the sound of a cow. And it annoys the hell out of me, thinking that the reason of my current agony is no one but Stephanie.
Its been a week since the 'window incident' and Stephanie became my regular visitor. She didn't stop ruining my day as she apologize non-stop to bother me. She typically brings me strange things that she would eventually use as her weapon for mischief.
On the other hand, Aunt Daisy would gratefully accept those suspicious things and welcome her for ceaseless girl talks.
And to think that even my homeschool teacher Ma'am Sylvie Garcia is fond of her give me enough bad news. Stephanie is apparently bothering my home works and causing a great impediment but Ma'am Syl still encouraged her, telling me Stephanie was so sparkly.
It gives me dread that these people were obviously looking at the wrong side of the moon.
I decided to doubt her many times but Stephanie always highlighted her name to me over and over again together with her personal information that cause me nothing but annoyance.
Knowing that she's not indeed a burglar, serial killer, etc. is far more satisfying.
Sniffing my breath, I fumbled for my phone which keeps shrilling for almost an hour.
"Hello. Raven speaking," I greeted through my clogged nose.
"Gosh. You got yourself a runny nose! I'm so sorry!" Stephanie's voice spoke on the other line with a concerned tone that seemed to be supressing bunch of laughter.
"Wow. You're obviously worried. Thanks." I replied sarcastically.
"Oh, of course honey," she fired back sweetly making my eyelids twitch in anger.
"But admit it, you enjoyed that 'date-under-the-rain' didn't you?" she added teasingly.
"I'm afraid to disappoint you but I enjoy the sniffing and the snots more than that," I answered, the sarcasm never leaving my voice.
If only Stephanie have a proper mind, and she didn't pulled me outside the rain last Saturday, I shouldn't be suffering like this. But hey, I'm a freaking blind guy and the pipsqueak is so persistent like hell.
And the great irony of all of this is to find Aunt Daisy laughing and tapping my back right after I sneeze loudly like its a damn achievement.
"Too bad. You have a weak immune system. Don't worry, I'll bring you something healthy tomorrow," she reassured me, but I smell something wicked instead.
