6pm june 18th, 2019

it had been a few weeks since i saw tyler. i face timed him a lot and he kept me updated on how hard his training was. i had moved into my apartment in miami recently and started basketball practice.

i was leaving to go to new york tomorrow and would be staying for a few days. i was currently just packing my bags because my flight left early the next morning and my roommate lily was taking me.

we got along pretty well immediately of course not like mine and tyler's friendship but i could tell we would get along. i didn't do much for the rest of the day and decided to face time tyler.

lily was with me because i discovered she had a major crush on him and thought we were dating at first so she didn't say anything.

"hey tyler"

"yo c i gotta take you to this place the view is amazing" he said showing me the new york sky line.

"yeah it's really beautiful."

"speaking of whose that with you she's hot."

"oh that's lily my roommate she loves you."

"shut up coralline hi i'm lily i'm a big fan of you tyler good luck at the draft!"

"lovely to meet you hopefully i end up in miami so we can hang."

"yeah hopefully."

"umm tyler you really hope you in yo in miami for my roommate and not me you know she can come to the draft instead." i said lowkey salty.

"chill c you're always #1 in my heart no need to be jealous."

"i'm not."

"sure you aren't."

"whatever you know i'm not."

"i'll see you in a few i gotta go train now love you."

"love you too can't wait to see you."

"yeah same hopefully i get to meat lily soon."

"haha bye."

lily and i decided to go get food and pedicures the miami life was amazing i loved it already. when we got home i took a long shower and just chilled. not to long after i went to bed since i would be going to the airport at 7 am.

2 pm june 19th, 2019

i had just arrived in new york at it was my dream to come here i'd never been but always wanted to see the city. i took an uber from the airport to the hotel and got a room key. tyler and i decided to just share a room because i didn't have much money, but refused to let him pay for me to get a hotel.

i never liked him buying me stuff i don't know why he was a day away from being a literal millionaire at the age of 19 and it still just bothered me. if he did but me something i always had to return the favor. even for paying for this hotel room i decided to walk to a right aid and bought him some candy.

i had already saved up for a month for these custom air jordan xi fruity pebbles they were close to $400 but i had to get him a present and i knew he would like them.

i got back to the hotel and took a nap. tyler was currently at training which was from 2-5. i woke up to someone dumping water on me i jumped up and screamed. i saw tyler and his friend from kentucky pj washington.

"wow y'all are so mature i just went out and bought you candy but you can go hell now." i said i was very cranky from being so suddenly woken up.

"love you tooo coralline i missed you g." he hugged me.

"yeah i can tell. hey pj what's up?"

"not much coralline but tyler here hasn't stopped talking about you the entire time we've been in new york."

"oh i'm sure he just can't get enough of me i mean cmon look at me." i'm sure i looked absolutely horrendous.

"yeah you are pretty hot honestly i'd smash." pj said before tyler hit him in the arm.

"if you weren't tyler's."

"umm i don't know what you mean tyler's been trying to get with my roommate who he's never even met before, but look whose jealous now."

"oh so you were jealous?"

"no i wasn't i'm just playin now go shower so we can go and eat i'm starving."

"okay okay."

"nice seeing you pj."

"you too coralline."

all we did the rest of the day was walk around the city after eating. i posted a picture of him on my instagram story and a ton of people slid up on it including lily. she said my man and i showed tyler then he laughed.

6 pm june 20th, 2019

we were at madison square garden sitting at a table. it was tyler's family and i while tyler was talking to some people. i'm so freaking proud of him i couldn't tell him enough.

he sat at the table when the draft was about to start and i grabbed his hand and squeezed it. of course zion, rj, and ja went quick they were amazing.

"and with the 13th pick in the first round draft the miami heat select tyler herro from the university of kentucky."

"OH MY GOD TYLER." he stood up and i jumped on him hugging him. he laughed and hugged his family before going up and putting on the hat and taking a picture.

he came back to the table sat down and i hugged him again. he's going to miami what are the odds.

"looks like you're stuck with me." tyler said.

"oh i'm so upset i was hoping you'd be somewhere really fat like washington or something." i joked.

"i'm so proud of you tyler for real."

we got back to the hotel and i posted the vlog i had been making since the trip started. it was only like 6 minutes but whatever.

tyler started the summer league in july so we had a week together in miami and i was going to go apartment hunting with him. i wonder what life has in store for us.
