His blade got dull and wasn't as quick,To harm him and cut his skin.
So he ventured for another after school,
For his painrelieving precious tool.
He walked quickly down the aisle,
Kept his head low and eyes on the tile.
He found the section with men's razors,
Searched for the one would cater.
He placed it on the conveyer belt,
She scanned the item and the transaction was dealt.
He stuffed it in his pocket and hurried home,
To suffer in peace and quiet all alone.
He heard footsteps behind his heels,
Turning around was greeted with eyes of teal.
She spoke first before he could talk,
"I was wondering if you wanted to take a walk."
He accepted her proposal nervously at first,
Ignoring his demon's blood thirst.
When she spoke, everything seemed to fade.
"Why did you really buy those blades?"
He clenched his jaw and looked away,
The words tumbled so fast in every which way.
"Everything's numb but I feel the pain."
Then the clouds opened and it started to rain.
She nodded her head and lifted her sleeve,
He quickly sucked air through his teeth.
The faint red lines were plenty to see,
"Do you really want to look like me?"
He shook his head and had a blank look,
Remembering the blades at home and the blood they took,
His hand slipped into hers as she turned around,
For a reason to stop, finally someone he had found.
He got his money back and didn't let go of her hand,
She smiled at him and started to fade.
He sighed and watched her memory leave,
For the first time in a long time, he rolled up his sleeves...and smiled.
