Around 5:45 am
Piya woke up feeling something wet on her cheek.
She opened her eyes and found her husband kissing her.
"Stop dreaming and go back to sleep Piya...you have a long day ahead..."
She scold herself before closing her eyes, when she almost to fell asleep again she heard her husband's voice...
"Baby!.... get up! It's not a dream."
Her eyes widen like saucer.
No way! this can't happen! this isn't real!
Abhay chuckled looking at her wife reaction, he leaned forward and kissed her cute little nose then her lips.
Now Piya's eyes were all set to come out of the socket, she still can't believe what's going on, her husband is not only sitting infront her and smiling at her but also kissing her.
"Love! aren't you gonna cook us breakfast, I'm craving for your handmade delicious food since ages." Abhay said cupping her face.
Piya nodded and went to the washroom.
Closing the door she couldn't help but let her tears flow.
This was the first time in year when she woke with her husband.
Why now? When she finally made her mind to end this .....
or God finally granted her wish and gave her a chance to live a normal and happy life, a better life with her husband
But.... what if it's only a dream
what if everything will turn back to reality if she opens her eyes.....
She closed her eyes took a deep breath and wiped her tears.
No if she's getting a chance she won't reject it.
A genuine smile spread on her lips as she started cleaning her.
Abhay sighed looking at washroom door where Piya disappeared few minutes ago, he knew what she must be thinking now.
"I'm sorry,baby. I promise this will be the last time you cry."
His thoughts got interrupted by the ringing of his phone. He checked the I'd it was secretary
"Hello!"
"Good morning sir!"
"Good morning Mia, is it something important?"
"Sir actually Mr Verma want withdraw his shares, he said that he's willing to invest it somewhere else since he isn't happy with our work."
"Hmm... Anything else?"
"Sir you have a meeting with Mr John at 10"
"Okay I'll be on time."
He cut the call and sighed Mr Verma's company had good reputation in market, withdrawing shares means a huge loss for his company. But he don't want to think about it, right now his wife is more important to him.
His married life is messed up now and he is at fault.
He decided that he'll ask for her forgiveness, Today's their fourth anniversary and as this is the first time Piya forgot about.
"I'll make it the bestest day of your life, baby."
Having a blissful breakfast after ages Abhay left for his office but not before giving his wife a tight hug and a sweet kiss....
"I promise I will make it up to you I am going to make sure we will catch on everything we missed, love."
Little did he knew this would be their last hug.
In evening
Abhay smiled looking at the ring he just bought for his wife.
As his car stopped on the signal he noticed an old women selling lilies. He quickly got out and bought those lilies.
" You may have forgotten our anniversary this time Piya, but I didn't and I swear I'll make it the memorable one."
He was inrrupted by an phone call.
"Are you related to Piya Raichand?" A voice from other side asked.
"Yes I'm his husband. Why?" Abhay was confused, who this lady was? And why she's asking him about Piya....
All His queries got answered by the next sentence she spoke
" Your wife caught into an accident is getting operated in city life hospital"
Abhay rushed to the hospital and asked the receptionist about his wife.
"w-where is m-my Piya?"
The lady pushed her glasses above her nose while checked through her computer. After a minute she asked him
"Are you searching for Mrs Piya Raichand, sir!?"
Abhay frantically nodded his head while holding back his tears.
"Right now she is being operated in OT on 3rd floor sir!"
Abhay muttered a thank you before rushing towards the OT.
On reaching there he saw a doctor coming out while removing his gloves.
"H-how is m-my w-wife?" He was breathing heavily, it was difficult for him to form a sentence without stuttering.
The doctor gave him a sympathetic look "I'm sorry young man, I couldn't save your wife."
"NO! No no no you are lying!" He almost pushed the doctor before running inside the room.
He stop breathing when spot his wife's lifeless body on the hospital bed.
"No!no!this can't happen. No!
Y-you can't l-leave me...,.noooo..." Abhay started shaking her lifeless cold body.
Abhay fall on his knees and last thing he heard was doctor saying
"Piya Raichand
Time of accident: around 7:30pm 27 January 2020
Death time: 8:30 pm, 27 January 2020."
before everything went black...
