「CLAUDIA JANE」

Within five minutes, I managed to find the markets easily enough. There were a fair few people around due to it being a Friday morning, but that didn't bother me. It was delightful being able to get more familiar with new faces and where everything was.

(a/n: the photo above is what I imagine the town/marketplace to look like)

I had been at the markets for at least an hour, going through Anne's list and managing to obtain all the items that she wanted me to get. After getting the necessary victuals, I make my way over to the pharmacy, ensuring it was my last stop on the way back home.

I push the wooden door open, hearing a bell ding as I walked inside. A lady, mid 50s wearing a white coat glanced up at me with a smile as soon as I walked up to the counter.

"Hello, how can I help you today?" She smiled widely, showing off her teeth.

I happily return the smile, while grabbing out Tom's prescription from my handbag. "Hi, I'm just here to get some items off a prescription if that's okay."

"Not a problem," she says while adjusting the wide glasses that she had on, "what name was it under?"

"Uh, Thomas Blake," I respond while setting the piece of paper down on the counter in front of me.

She shoots her head up to look at me.

"Ohhhh," her voice was laced with a tone of realisation, "You must be Claudia, yes, Anne told me that you'd be coming in today. I'm Dorothy. You're a nurse, correct? You're helping to renew the medical facility! Very skilled in your profession I've heard."

I nod, finding it a little hard to keep up with what she had said. "Yes that's right, thank you very much! I'm very excited to get started."

I watch her as she starts placing Tom's supplies into a paper bag, "It'll be so lovely having a new face around here. I'll be delivering supplies to you once you're up and running."

"Oh, of course," I render, the anticipation of the medical centre making me more excited by the minute.

She quickly runs me over what each necessity is for and what to do with them, the information already be familiar to me. She walks over to the register as I start to get the money that was needed for the supplies out of my purse.

"I'm looking forward to working with you, Claudia." She says with another wide smile while handing me the bag.

"So am I, it was really lovely to meet you Dorothy! I'm sure I'll see you around again sometime soon." I bid her farewell as I make my way out of the store.

I begin to walk back home, being careful to keep a strong grip on the bags that were swinging by my sides. After walking for a couple of minutes, I hear someone calling my name and the sound of a car engine pulling up beside me.

I look across from where I was standing to be met with Will, sitting in the drivers seat of his car.

"Hi Will!" I beam while walking closer to the car.

"Hey stranger, you going back to Tom's?" He questions, leaning over from his seat a little.

I nod, "Yeah."

"Well come on," he opens the passenger door from the inside and pats the seat next to him, "I'll drive you the rest of the way, that's where I'm headed anyway. Hop in!"

Once again, I remember Tom telling me that Will was coming over today. I smile while jumping into the car, placing all the bags down on the floor in front of me.
